Nursing not for me
Pts waiting at the med cart for pain meds. I feel like I don't know what I am doing. I'm thinking about just forgetting nursing. Other nurses who are new nurses catch on so easily. I just let it go.

First time on the floor ever!
My first week on the floor is discouraging for me because I feel lost with the charting, not know what which residents prefer when it comes down to their meds administration. The narcotic meds and its charting is difficult and computer charting. Do you think I'm doomed from the start. I am still in training at my job and I feel I don't know everything yet. I had an anxiety attack while driving home from work and I feel so discouraged. It seems with watching the other nurses it seems so easy for them.

Still NO job
Everyday I am getting more worried than before with waiting on jobs that I have applied for and not getting answers. I was told to go to school to be a nurse and when I do become a nurse I still can't get hired anywhere. What to do? I have bills!

First job
Thank you very much. I am just worried because it has been 3 days since my interview and I haven't heard anything yet.

First job
I had my first interview yesterday at a nursing home and I think it had went very well. I was filling out my application and when I told the staff I just pass boards the immediately told me to do an interview with the DON. The DON had basically told me the pay and the shift and etc. The DON said she will call my references and call me once she speak to all of my references. Do you all think I have a shot at getting hired?

Thank you Sour lemon for your response. I can say this as long as I have license as a nurse once I graduate from school I should be fine. I shouldn't even put my past job down on my application. I felt threaten there and unsafe. (worked at a gas station). This has worried me for awhile and I just want to be certain that this will not affect my future jobs as a nurse. Thanks again for the response.

Hello Meriwhen, I can say I do have a past employer from Walmart been with them for five years and I believe I can use them as a good reference. The current employer I had did not end good. I was working at a gas station and I felt unsafe there so I left without a two week notice this is why I am so concern. Thank you again for your response.

I was wondering, does it really matter about you past job history. If you are a first time nurse looking for your first nursing job and your past jobs in general work didn't end well could you not get the nursing job?

LPN school and working fulltime
Hello, I'm in a LPN program and currently working part-time at a gas station. For school I have to be in class from 8:00am-4:00pm. Currently I work 6-10pm on week days and have open hours on weekends sometimes my manager will have me working till 12 at night on week days. I do have a son and I'm a single parent with bills. Do you all think I can continue to make good grades and work or cut my hours at work.

criminal background
I talked to the BON and they said it shouldn't be a problem as long as I show my document saying I paid the fine. Do you know how I can expunge the charge?

I ask but really all they say is just wait and see what happens. I asked people who graduated already and they be like "as long you told them when you applied than you should be fine. The only way you get kicked out is if you hide it from them." I'm just don't knowy friend told me they make everyone sign those papers. I can't get excited until I know.

criminal background
Hi, I was recently accepted to the LPN program in ms and I have a misdemeanor in telephone harassment. I was accepted but will start May 2016. My question is if I was accepted and my background wasn't ran yet will I get kicked out? I talked to the director of the program and she had me sign a conference form stating I understood I may be disqualified from both or either background checks from the contracted sites or the msbon so I'm confused if I was accepted why would they accept me? I wouldn't think they would accept me if I had a charge and waste a seat.
