  1. I took the toefl and didn't like it. For toefl you'll be taking the exam in a room with a bunch of other test takers w/c could affect you when you reach the speaking part because everybody would be talking at the same time and it could get loud. I heard the Pearson is more difficult than the others but you'll be in a room taking your exam alone.
  2. Hi! Mine went pretty well. I was sent to a rehab for clinicals which where I work now.
  3. I just took NCLEX too at that time. So everything went easier. I finished the whole program in 3-4 mos.
  4. After you log in it should redirect you to My Content and show the book's image. You click on Student Resources and find where you want to go from the Student Handbook provided. If you want to finish soon answer the Questions book that you bought, watch the skills videos, make sure you finish your paper work and have a temporary license ready for clinical. How long have you been out of practice?
  5. I graduated 2012, licensed PI and never practiced. I got a license in HI w/o issues after passing NCLEX this year but in their website I think it says 5 years post grad to qualify. I didn't want to move to HI so I'm taking Refresher Program in AZ now to reciprocate HI license to AZ since I never practiced.
  6. I have until April 2017. So did you apply yet?
  7. I didn't try to look for preceptorship at all, I didn't want the burden. This why I enrolled to this school. About the application expiration I haven't really thought of that, I've just been really focusing of finishing up but that's a good question.I'm not even sure how many months you have to finish all the required stuffs. Is your application expring soon?
  8. Same thing here. This is the last step for AZ license. I'm hoping to get a preceptorship right after the didactic but school says they have up to 12 months to look for one so fingers crossed. After you enroll you got to buy your books which are Brunner and Suddarth MS books with study guide, drug calculations book, a skills guide dvd and a lab kit. There are NCLEX style questions in the study guide book which is the only required part. I was all over the place before I enrolled because I was scared. LOL. But I'm taking it easy now. I'm trying to finish the class in a month.
  9. Yeah, I started a week ago. I just passed my NCLEX so I don't find it that bad but I can't exactly tell until I finish the didactic part and clinicals. It's pretty expensive though. LOL. Books and other material are not included with the tuition. What's your situation, if you don't mind?
  10. You are absolutely allowed to come back and just take it in some states. I currently live in AZ and trying do endorse my HI license here with a BSN from Philippines. The best advise from me is to look at the board of nursing you wish to practice after since there are some state that wants you to have your country's license before they grant you to test. Now, your family is probably encouraging you to go back home for this because of cheaper cost of getting a BSN compared to here and that's not bad. Just don't wait too long after graduation on taking the NCLEX.
  11. It is approved and about placement they said they will insure that qualified students will have a verified clinical placement within 12 months of program start time. I wanted to hear a successful story from this school, I guess. They also claim that they have committed falicities with them for clinicals. Just frustrated about it since I just passed my NCLEX last April this year and have to go through another bump. Thanks for the suggestion.
  12. About to enroll to same program. How did yours go?
  13. I'm about to enroll for RN REFRESHER PROGRAM with Medstar RN REFRESHER PROGRAM here in AZ. It's a $3000+ program and I'm just so anxious about how expensive it is. Mostly because the program might not be able to find a placement right away for me after I finish the didactic portion. Have anybody in here been enrolled with this kind before? How was the preceptorship? How fast did you or your program got a preceptorship for you? Help! Any comment about refresher program might help, so please...comment. Thank you
