Hang in there, Mindy had told me that a lot of accepted students do not respond and they are dropped on May 1st when they do not send in their deposit, so there will definitely be a lot of movement then. I hope you get in, I know that the wait is very nerve wracking, please keep up updated.

Hi anh05f! So excited! I too am in!! Acd24, hopefully you will get accepted shortly! I was told yesterday that I was almost in the top 10, so there has been a lot of movement in a short time.

Hi again anh05f! I have to apologize I just went to Linfield's site again to see how much the accelerated program is, and your figure of $120,000 was closer than my $90,000 figure, they are saying it is close to $110,000 for the 15 months, it is around $10,000 less if you are not paying for room and board.

Glad I could help, the extra points on the application from where you did your prerequisites also help. I felt that all of my interviews went well. I talked with the head of nursing at PCC, she even went over my essay and said it was really good, she recommended that I become a CNA to help my chances, I know some get in without licensing, just hard to do. I decided to take Chemistry and apply to Linfield. Hopefully you will get in, you should hear soon! I am going to be doubling checking my interview time :), it may be at 8:00 at OHSU.

Hi Anh05f! Last year I applied to Community colleges and did not get in (I did have interviews at all of them). I have a 3.9 and 100 hours of volunteering, however they give most points to those who have certifications (CNA, CMA, EMT, etc). I like how affordable community college is, however I know I would need to become a CNA to help my chances. I know some have gotten in without (not many though). I have decided to go a different route this year. Linfield is around $90,000 for 5 terms, I agree it is more than the other schools, however I like the idea of being in the work force sooner (this will help offset some of the cost). I have also heard of some students getting scholarships. My interview at OHSU is at 8:30 on the 20th! Sounds like a long interview :).

Yes this is the program in Portland Oregon. Have you applied to any other nursing schools? I have applied to both George Fox and OHSU (both 3 year programs). I have an interview with OHSU next week. Linfield is my first choice. Have you emailed Mindy to see where you are on the list?

That is Great news acd24, so happy for you! Hopefully we will find out soon, so exciting and the wait/unknown is excruciating. I too hope we get to be classmate! Hope the next few days go quickly. I will let you know if/when I hear anything.

Hi Acd24! You can email or call Mindy, she is the one that told me I am in the top 20, I am not sure my exact number. I have been told that they only waitlist 40 and that most of those get in. She told me today that many do not respond and have a deadline of May 1st, that she will know more then. She also said it is OK to email or call her to see if movement is being made on the list and that I would likely get in. I did find a forum here from last year and there was someone that was number 30 on the list that got in on May 1st I believe. So glad you responded, I have been on pins and needles.

Hi! I just found out that I am in the top 20 on the waitlist for Linfield Accelerated nursing program and should know by May 1st if I am in. Is there anyone else on the waitlist? These next three weeks are going to go by really slow.

I too am an alternate for PCC and sadly did not receive a call yet, I am hoping that they haven't made the calls yet. I wish they would let us know where we are on the alternate list so we would have an idea if there is a chance of getting in or not, so nerve wracking. I am also on CCC's wait list.
