I've been practicing with the Teas Mastery the genitourinary has been the hardest for me so far.

I have to take my teas test I've heard it's basic knowledge from grade school. Although that sounds simple I've heard horror stories and I want to be prepared as I find I do better if I practice and drill it in my head way before time. I wanted to know was the Teas VI practice exam kit book helpful for anyone? If not what was?

Hello, most hospitals have moved to a minimum of a BSN. I work at the VA in Philadelphia as a CNA I've been here a little over 2 years and not long after I was hired they ended hiring nurses with only an associates degree. If your willing to get your BSN you'll have better options in the city. The hospital is now encouraging the nurses to get their masters and will help pay for it, I believe this is why the associates isn't being accepted by people looking to get newly hired. I also believe it has something to do with most hospitals turning into "magnet hospitals".

So I'm just about done at ccp I need 6 more credits to graduate with a assoc. in culture, science and technology (basically a degree people who want to go into the health field get when they don't know exactly what they want to do yet). Ultimately I left this as my major because I wanted to go into their nursing program, unfortunately their nursing programs schedule does not fit into my current schedule with work and being a mother. I have found other schools that offer evening and weekend programs, but I was thinking about changing my major to psychology (looks better than the Science, tech, and culture degree) which I'll only need 9 more credits for. I also work in behavior health now and psychology is more along those lines and I plan on staying in that department. My question is at this point is it best to get my associates from ccp then transfer or just transfer now and apply to another school's nursing program? I seen some schools have a credit limit they'll take which would mean I'll have to repeat classes I already took, if I have a degree already does that still apply?

That was another school I seen on GA BON website that interest me, but it did say that their accreditation is conditional. I'll be looking into it more and seeing how many of my current credit will transfer.

Thank you, I went to the BON website and saw they are accredited for the BSN only. Which means if I later wanted to get my masters they aren't accredited for it even though they offer it. I won't put all my eggs in one basket as I saw a lot of other schools accredited for both. My job now takes rn's with a bsn at minimum and have been pushing for nurses to get their masters.

Is Chamberlain College in Atlanta, GA accredited now? If so how would you describe the BSN program? Lastly What time of the day are classes offered (day, eve, wknd)?
