I am an experienced RN, but new to school nursing. Actually, I'm working at a university so the summers are very long, with classes ending the first of May and not returning until late August. I'm wondering if anyone has ideas for summer jobs. I don't necessarily need to work as an RN. Anything fun, preferably community-oriented, and health or fitness related would do. I've been looking online like crazy, but there don't seem to be any options in my area except teenager jobs. At 37, I don't want to be working with a bunch of teens. I hate hospital nursing, so working PRN at the hospital is something I want to avoid at all costs. I'm wondering if I'm just missing some obvious ideas for enjoyable summer work--I'd be glad to hear any thoughts!
