  1. Hi Everyone, I've been an ER nurse for 6 months now since passing the NCLEX RN last August 2017. It is also my first job as an RN. It is a very rewarding career once you helped someone, may it be physically, mentally, emotionally. Anyway, just passing by to encourage you all future RN's to make your dreams possible, you're one step closer. Never give up and go get those two letters on your badge.
  2. From what I've heard from here you either finished the exam it too quickly or tried the pvt too early w/out getting the email from Pearson. Whatever it is. All the best.
  3. Pvt works as soon as you get the email from Pearson. It worked for me. I took my nclex rn 8/27/27. I got my license yesterday. 4 weeks and one day to be exact. I'm in Cali too. Hope this relieves all of your anxieties future co-nurses.😃
  4. You probably done it too early without receiving the email from pearson. But from what I'm seeing you probably didn't pass. Good luck on everything!
  5. ATI is part of the curriculum in a nursing school program. But you can get it online too. I believe it costs $300 to 400. Did you graduate in a nursing school here in the U.S.? As for my experience, it really isn't much of a help. Which some nclex takers here also talked about, it contraindicates. Well, whatever you decide taking I wish you the best.
  6. Don't give up! I know someone who took it 9 times in the span of 15 years and she passed on the 10th try. By the way, I passed mine on my 3rd attempt. I just took it last August 2017. I did Uworld, Kaplan and, Hurst. I don't suggest that you do 6-8 hours a day. Maximum of 3 hours would be better. On Uworld, focused on understanding the rationales especially the ones you got wrong. Also, reassess yourself on what causes you to not pass; whether it maybe test taking anxiety, English is a second language, etc. and learn how to manage it by exercising or whatever makes you feel good. Don't get hung up on how many times you took the exam and still did not pass. Believe me, you'll write your own testimonial someday on passing it. Good luck!
  7. I got my congratulatory letter today. PVT is freakin alive it worked for me. Job hunting is next... This whole experience was surreal. Can't wait to start this journey of my life. Thank you to all. I'm out. Peace!!✌
  8. @danyellegray, did you receive your official results yet? I tested on August 23 and got the good pop-up. It's been a week a now, hopefully I'll get my results soon.
  9. Hello, I took my NCLEX PN August 23, 2017. I tried PVT and got the good pop-up! It has been over a week now. Hopefully I'll receive my official results by tomorrow. Also, I am able to pay through the breeze website to get my initial license. As to not get the hassle of waiting a month or so when you apply by mail. Let's see how long this would take! As of now it's still pending on the breeze website. Good luck to all!
  10. @Proverbs16:24, what other resources did you take aside from Uworld? (Books, etc.) I'm planning to take mine next month.
  11. @Brecio, what resources did you take? (books, review classes, online, etc.) I'm planning to take mine next month.
  12. What resources do you have?
  13. Yes, took it last February 2016, received my results 1 month and 2 weeks. Unfortunately I didn't pass and I'm from Cali too.
  14. Yes, it will. All of the people I know who took it, have tried the PVT and passed.
  15. @PLOVE26, try PVT it's 100% accurate. What number did the computer shut off?
