  1. I'll be a basket case if we don't hear by tomorrow.
  2. Congrats! Hopefully we're not far behind!
  3. It's 50/50 GPA and HESI score. Average the two together and that should give you an idea of your applicant score.
  4. I check my email all day long for work and all my different emails are on my phone so I can't totally say I check just for the acceptance email (although I would probably still check at least once a day). I'm slightly obsessive. Haha.
  5. Log into Facebook | Facebook I copied the link from my computer this time so hopefully that one will work for you.
  6. TCC Fall 2016 Nursing Students And I check my email all day everyday since its on my phone. No shame! Haha.
  7. My husband teases me too. Haha.
  8. Welcome to Facebook Okay, so I went ahead and made the group. I figure if we're gonna plan on meeting up and stuff that a closed group would be more private.
  9. Meeting up sounds good to me. It's nice to have an outlet to discuss all of this stuff.
  10. I don't mind joining one now, but I'd be a terrible admin as I have a tendency to forget about social media when I become busy. If anybody wants to do it, though, I will join. @LinLoza, Pinterest has great tips for nursing school! All of my nurse friends have said some of the stuff they found there really helped them. I have a huge board dedicated to nursing and organization. I love it!
  11. Oooh yes I've been all over Pinterest! Such great ideas. I'm running out of things to do to keep my mind occupied, though.
  12. It really is! I've been marking off days on my calendar. Anything to make it feel like progress.
  13. Agreed! I am the same way. I've never posted on a board but I figured this would be a good place to talk about the process/stresses of applying so that I'm not talking about it all the time. Plus, like you said, we will be starting together and it will be nice to be acquainted with some fellow students.
  14. Yes it is very stressful! Especially now that it's April! I'm trying very hard to be patient. lol. At least we aren't alone! I was going crazy before I found this forum.
  15. Isn't there an option for hybrid classes? If there is, I doubt I'll choose that option but I know some people had some questions about them.
  16. @LinLoza Based on your scores I don't think you have anything to be worried about! I've heard from several people now that the application number was lower than usual, so that's good news! Hopefully they will process them quickly and we'll get emails on time. That would be awesome. I don't believe there is a Facebook page for Fall 2016 yet. I searched the other day and didn't find one. Maybe we should start one?
  17. You are definitely not alone! We are all anxious. Haha.
  18. I think your scores are competitive for this program. You're HESI score is really great. I want letters so bad I can't stand it and it's only the 2nd...
  19. Yes, I'll be working. I make my own work schedule so that will be beneficial. I'm sure it'll be tough adjusting to such a demanding school load.
  20. I'm not sure. I tend to prefer going to class just because I feel that I get more out of it, but that's just me. It's probably a good option for people who have to work, though.
  21. Definitely! My mom works in a hospital and she said never, ever buy the Walmart scrubs. They don't last and they don't fit well.
  22. Oh wow. I will probably just do the greys. Ive tried them on and they fit me really well (I'm really short). Their petite scrubs actually stop at my feet and don't go all the way past.
  23. That seems like a good amount. I can't imagine we'd need more than a couple pairs for our first semester?
  24. I was looking at some, too! Haha. I'm happy it's teal. I had a friend who had to wear white scrubs and she hated it so much. My sister-in-law is a nurse and she told me that the Grey's Anatomy scrubs (although pricey) are the best. Apparently they don't wear out so fast and the fit really well.
