  1. Quick question, where is the first semester clinicals done? I heard it was at a nursing home, also which hospitals are the clinicals later on?
  2. I think for the new nursing students we can only do day classes but I'm not 100% sure. Call the nursing dept and ask. I put day classes because it works better for me. Are you talking about the whole program in general? Because the entire program is just 2 years.
  3. Congrats!! Goodjob, basically all you have to do at first is get a flu shot and fill out the acceptance letter.
  4. Oh okay I see, so for the new incoming nursing students our clinical wont be in kingsborough but inside a nursing home? I heard that the first 2 semesters we do clinicals on the campus
  5. How was it? I heard many from previous posts many students failed. Also what is the clinical like for the first semester and where did you get your scrubs?
  6. How is it so far?? Any tips to give to the incoming nursing class?
  7. Are you in the nursing program already?
  8. Thats odd, the letters should've came in. They should probably come any day now.
  9. I already had my CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association. I did it last year and it's good through 2019. Check out their website you can see where you can do it from them in your area.
  10. I think the day classes start earlier in the morning and the evening classes start later on and end around 10pm. I'm not 100% on that but go and check the nursing classes for this semester and look at the times. You should be able to see which are day and evening classes. Have you finished everything on that list yet? Im just waiting back for my results and Im going to submit everything in by this week. Also did you get your scrubs, shoes and stethoscope yet? I read previous threads and someone said ideal uniform thats in flatbush and ave K, I think, knows kbcc's exact requirements.
  11. Congrats guys!! See you at orientation. Does anyone know if we should start to get scrubs, shoes, stethoscope, etc??
  12. That's not a big deal, I wouldn't worry. Just wait for the letter in the mail it should arrive in 3-4 days most likely.
  13. You can check my description from the beginning of the post to see what my stats were!
  14. really? that's odd, maybe they dont want anyone knowing. I have no clue, I just went in and got my letter. Either way you guys will know soon!
  15. They did not tell me on the phone. I went in and picked up my letter.
  16. Hey, no my major didnt change but I called and they said the letters are being mailed out. So I just stopped by because I'm impatient and I just want to get all the things I need finished early! I got accepted!! Goodluck to all of you and I look forward to seeing you in the spring 2018 semester.
  17. They made the decisions for the nursing program, I just called. They said they sent the letters out!!!
  18. We should both be okay and get accepted! Its been about two weeks and they still havent decided ugh
  19. Yes it's considered advanced! An overall score of 78% and more is advanced. I did well on the science, math and grammar its just that reading section and my pre-req gpa is a 3.7 oh okay I see. Lets hope they have the decisions by this friday!
  20. Oh wow you got a great score, I got a 79% overall. It wouldve been higher but for some reason I got a really low score on the reading section. I hope they dont look at that section too much. What is your pre-req gpa?
  21. Yes for sure , what were your scores if you dont mind me asking?
  22. Yeah I know, hopefully by this thursday/friday they will have the decisions.
  23. No updates on my end either I just called the nursing dept and she said they didnt even look at them yet...
