  1. Hi! I got accepted into a neuroscience externship for the summer. it is 12 weeks long. I really am looking into being a pediatric nurse when I graduate, but I know any experience will be beneficial--especially since I want to get hired into this hospital. I was curious as to what I should expect to do daily on the neuroscience floor. What will paperwork look like, etc. Thank you! Also, do you believe that the hospital would hire me after if the floor likes me, even though I want to be in a different area completely?
  2. I am VERY interested in pediatrics and my heart is really set on it. However, I have not had my pediatric rotation yet so it screwed me over when trying to get an externship at a pediatric hospital. I was offered a summer position as an extern on the Neuroscience floor. This hospital also has a women's and children's hospital so do you think I could possibly get a job there after school--since I was not actually working in that department? I'm not sure if I should accept the job since it is not somewhere I would want to work long-term, or if I should just stick through it. If I did not take the job, I would be nannying again this summer (ultimately making more money). Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
