I am a student nurse and am wondering if nurses get burned out if they work 60 hours a week. I am thinking of working 60 a week for a couple of years to save up for a home but I don't know what that would be like. Is it easy? Do-able? Or am I being unrealistic? I have a wife and kids. My wife does not work. Thank you!!!
  2. how much more do CNS make that a regular staff nurse?? How does pay compare to NP? Thank you
  3. quick poll: how many hours a week do you work?? (RN's only)
  4. is there a difference between an ER nurse and a Trauma Nurse or is it the same thing.
  5. i am a student nurse and am thinking of going into ER but am scared because I don't know if I can emotionally and psychologically as well as physiologically handle it. Has anyone ever passed out from seeing blood and gore? Can you overcome it???
  6. I am starting nursing school this january. I got 3 immunizations yesterday. I watched closley so that I can learn from the nurse how they are administered. She gave me the first 2 shots. I felt fine. When she was about to give me the third shot I had a vasovagal reaction and passed out. Am I going to have trouble being a nurse? Can I overcome this??????
