  1. I am moving to Colorado from another state, so I really just wanted to get an idea of what I should be making as an RN in Denver. Thanks!
  2. I am interviewing for lots of ER nurse jobs in Denver. I have 10 yrs of experience with pediatric and adult ER nursing. I have my CEN plus the usual Pals, ACLS, tncc and NRP. I am currently enrolled in an MSN program. What should I expect for hourly pay? Who works in Denver as an ER nurse? What do you make? Thanks all!
  3. I am 36 years old. ER nurse for 10 years. I have my CEN certification, worked peds and adult ER. I'm in an abusive relationship where I don't own any furniture, no towels, no cookwear, nothing. I have a car and my clothing, thats it. I am thinking travel nursing may be my ticket out. I want to travel, but I am scared to death. I have specific fears: The assignment wont be as described. I will be working 48 hours a week and never have time to explore. The pay will be terrible. The housing will be terrible or in a scary area. I want to travel in Colorado. Ive never ventured out onny own, and to be honest, I'm looking for a pep talk or some encouragment to make the leap. I dont even know where to start....!
  4. BSN isn't a thing, its the education you received in order to test for the NCLEX, which if passed, awards you your LICENSE to practice nursing, or RN. You can have a bachelors of science in nursing and not be a registered nurse. I HATE it when people say "I'm a BSN". It sounds silly.
  5. I am taking the CCRN next month!
  6. I have been an ER nurse for 10 years. Worked peds and adult. I also work as part time house supervisor. I have ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ATCN AND CEN. Recently a flight nurse job has opened up at the sister hospital that I work for. I want to apply for it, but I'm worried that I dont have the qualifications. I've never worked ICU. In your experiences and the very little you have read about me, should I apply?
