I am pretty sure we will hear back after April 1st. The email sent out last stated that April 1st was the earliest meaning anytime between then and the end of April. Long wait.

Actually, just checked my email and my just read "decision made" too...oh boy....this letter could not come any sooner.

I am definitely stalking my mailman. Did you receive your online "decision made" today? I applied to SCSU too but will not receive an answer from them until mid-April. Waiting is driving me nuts!

Has anyone received their letter yet? This has been quite a wait.

Hi saracampion! I totally understand. If I get accepted into SCSU (the school that is 1/3 the price of QU) I will be going the more affordable route. I definitely feel that I can achieve the same goals at a less expensive school, if given the opportunity. Good luck at your school & Congrats on being accepted to the other college you applied to!!!

Hi saracampion! I am a little worries about the financial situation as well which is why I also applied to SCSU which is a third of the price. QU is around $56,000 and SCSU is around $20,000 so HUGE difference. I have already begun looking into scholarships which will help a little with books, uniforms, and the little things. I read an article that stated "for every 10 scholarships you apply to, you will win 1". Not to say this is a definite but I used this logic for my first undergraduate degree -and my grades are average with lots of service experience-and won a few scholarships. The sites that I find helpful are: Unigo, Fastweb and scholarship.com. I also look in the local newspaper which sometimes has scholarships for students pursuing an undergraduate degree. If you have lots of community service or volunteer experience you can apply to places like Rotary or Lions Club which sometimes accept undergraduate applicants. Otherwise, FAFSA loans and such are the way to go. Just be sure to check the type of loan they approve you for because some of them have crazy interest costs attached to them. It is important to apply to scholarships prior to the start of school because unfortunately we will be totally slammed with work. Another idea I am currently researching is a forgiven loan/promise loan where you agree to work with a specific population or environment for a time period and a chunk of your loan is "forgiven" or rather dropped from what you must pay back. Still in the early research part of this but I know that my friend did it for her teaching degree. Hope that helps! :)

Hi Guys, I received the same answer from QU. They said they are just beginning to send out the letters, but due to the high volume of applicants the majority of the letters will be sent to homes via mail closer to mid-March. I cannot wait to hear the answer so I can start making some decisions for sure. Good luck to all the applicants!

Hi dreamcatcher17! I applied for the 2016 ACE start and am nervously waiting a decision. I have a low GPA of 3.1 (unfortunately, working full-time and getting married during school did not leave me much room for the amount of study time that I would have liked to have). I currently work as an exercise specialist for a pediatric weight management program for Yale School of Medicine. I have a BS in Exercise Science, a AS in Science and a CNA Certification. I also have 2 years of hospital volunteering under my belt. Just hoping my essay and well rounded experiences earn me a spot. Also applied to QU but afraid that if accepted to that program I may be unable to afford the cost. Hopefully we are notified of our decisions in March so we can start planning. Thanks & Good Luck!

I totally agree Blove419 that the waiting game is the WORST part! Hope that you hear good news soon. Also, hoping to receive a thick envelope. The 2014 and 2015 cohort blogs all mentioned that their letters of acceptance were in a regular envelope size, but were thick due to a large amount of introductory materials for the accepted students. Chunky mail = good news!!!!

Hi Everyone! I applied for the program with all my materials turned in by November. I have a low GPA of 3.1 which worries me a little, but have 2 years of hospital volunteering experience, my CNA certification, a B.S. in Exercise Science and an A.S. in Science. I also work at Yale School of Medicine in New Haven coordinating the exercise component of a children's weight management program. I am was also a live-in caretaker for 1.5 years for an older adult for a while so I have basic geriatric care experience. Hoping my well-rounded resume will help me into the program. I am super nervous about the decisions and really hoping to get in. I have SCSU Accelerated program that I am also waiting to hear back from but QU is my top choice. Hoping to find out soon so I can stop freaking out. :) Good Luck! Please post when you get your acceptance letters so we can see when they are beginning to be sent out to students. Thanks!
