Athens Tech Nursing Program Fall 2016
Hi Clara! The Nursing program is fantastic! I think you have good odds to get in. don't let people scare you saying there are hundreds of applicants. there are hundreds of applicants, but the majority don't even have their pre-reqs done they are just applying. I don't know what the average NLNs have been but I know this year graduation class and the class of 2019 has plenty of students that had C's is some science courses. Advice: -try to save as much money now, and try to work as little as possible once you start. if you absolutely have to work I suggest working more during first semester and over the summer break, but very little in the senior year. -Figure out your teachers and study based on their particular lecture and testing style

Athens Tech Nursing Program Fall 2016
Hey MerciNurscee!! I'm glad to see another ATC student on here! I have been obsessively checking my mail for about a week now. I called Monday and the guy I spoke to said they had just mailed the letters, so hopefully I will be getting it today!! I am so excited I just cant wait any longer. I hope the letters contain some kind of information not just "accepted" or "not". I don't think I could stand waiting till the information session with out a shred of more details. I cant find anything online about the program except what is on the college catalogue, which is not a lot, and I found one older PDF of a handbook. it had a lot of requirements as far as dress codes and attendance but as it is older I'm not sure if all these rules still apply, but it was still interesting to read.

Perquisites
Different schools have different codes for class so it may be more helpful to ask using the name of the class (Such as Anatomy and Physiology or microbiology). I would suggest, regardless of which class it is, unless you are a straight A student and will not be working or have any other responsibilities during the semester, to not take two hard science classes at the same time. All of my bio classes met three times a week for multiple hours a day and there was tons of reading and extra stuff to study outside of class. additionally, summer classes are shorter so they are even more intense. I received an A in my classes taking them one at a time while working full time but that is the only things I did for a year, work, school, study. I am not saying it cant be done but it wont be easy, just know what your getting into and commit to it whole heartedly.
