  1. Hello, I recently started my second year of college with an embarrassingly low GPA due to having to retake a gen ed course and being a C average student. A few of my family members have been advising me that I should try Nursing however I am worried that I may have ruined my chances of bringing my GPA up to a 3.5. A 3.7 just sounds unrealistic for someone like me. If I were to maintain a 3.0 as my CUM GPA but a 3.4 for my pre-requisites would that even give me a chance? So far I am making B's in the two pre-requisites I am taking. The nursing school I have looked at requires a 2.8 GPA for their pre-requisites and average GPA of getting accepted into the school. My main worry is getting through those courses, because ever since elementary school my focus hasn't been the greatest and I have a hard time with getting my brain to actually pay attention. What can I do to boost my application up? Or simply even focus in those science classes.
