Hey guys, just another PSA about the Healthstream Training Modules. I had the chance to meet a few classmates at CPR training, and it was shared that several of us were not able to access the modules u sing the directions given in the "I Made It" Healthstream link. When I went to complete mine, I ignored the Web Browser incompatibility thing and proceeded to use Google Chrome. As long as you allow pop-ups, it should work just fine. Welcome to HealthStream To find the modules we need, just go to the catalog tab and find the search bar. The four modules are as follows: 1. Rapid Regulatory Compliance: Clinical I:Compliance; Ethics; Sexual Harassment; Patient Rights; Informed Consent; Advanced Directives;Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA); Grievances; Developmental AppropriateCare; Cultural Competence; Restraint/Seclusion; Patient Abuse/Assault/Neglect 2. Hello classmates :) I just wanted to leave a friendly PSA for everyone. There are some requirements that need to be addressed by June 3rd. Like, in 4 days. You have time to take care of them within a few hours (the things that are immediately due), but I am not sure I would have jumped on it if I hadn't looked at that paper by chance today. Also, for those of you who need CPR (you need Basic Life Support, not AED like normal people/lifeguards get), there are classes offered through Sac State over the summer, but apparently they fill it fast. The link is in the Pre-Entry Checklist for you. Those are just some of my thoughts and friendly reminders because I almost missed these things! Good luck and looking forward to meeting you all. :)

It seems like there has been a lag between fall 2013 and spring 2016 threads. Perhaps the popularity of this site had decreased a little bit. I would assume that spring is going to be more vocal than fall because their application window starts over the summer (at least that is when they are really investigating everything) while we are in school full time during our application windows. Just a thought. :)

Hi there everyone! As I was preparing to take my TEAS V exam in December 2015, I turned to this forum to seek advice and help. I encourage you to reach out to the wisdom and experience that can be found here, especially those who give details about their study style. These are my results: Adjusted Individual Total Score: 93.3% ATI Academic Preparedness: Exemplary National Percentile Rank: 99 TEAS Reading: 90.5% TEAS Mathematics: 90.0% TEAS Science: 97.9% TEAS English and Language Usage: 93.3% I invested in the ATI Preparation Manual (the standard one), and also did both practice tests online. I took the first online test, Version A, on 12/4/15 with little preparation. I scored 78.7% and I cried. I had already calculated that I needed to score an 85% on the TEAS to get the overall score I wanted, and was very upset. Reading: 85.7% Mathematics: 83.3% Science: 70.8% English: 76.7% I read the manual front to back, took the practice exams, and scored in the 80s on them. (I left them at home so I do not have the books with me to find the exact answer). On 12/17/15 I took the online practice exam, Version B, and received the score of an 86%. That's what I'm talkin' about! I was so stoked. Reading: 90.5% Mathematics: 83.3% Science: 81.3% English: 90% My actual test was on 12/21/15, so I had a few days to study. I downloaded the TEAS V Mastery app (on a Droid phone) and proceeded to answer over 1000 questions within the week. The full version costs money, but it definitely exposed the areas I was weaker in, and was able to focus on those things. It was also a nice ego booster when I was getting them right. The day before the exam, I ceased all studying except the small stack of flashcards of things I simply could not remember that I knew were important (you will know what you don't know really well). I went to sleep early, and woke up early in the morning to make sure I was awake and ready. I got to the testing center 2 hours early, not knowing that everyone starts at the same time, so there was no way I could start my exam early. (hint, when you plan to get to the center, get there in a safe amount early, but don't be there a day early. lol). When I was taking the exam, I was not surprised by what was on it. I felt like I had prepared well, and was 100% on the answers I knew, and 50% on the answers I didn't know. I was the first one done at the testing center. It immediately calculates your score, and you leave the center with a print out of your score. I literally let out a little scream of excitement in the middle of the testing center, and walked out almost in tears. I really didn't think I was going to do that well. I was honestly shooting for an 85%. All that being said, do your best. Study hard, and figure out your weakest areas. Even if that means English, or Math. Improve the areas that are going to pull your overall score down, and then focus on improving on the other areas to bring your overall score up. Good luck, and God bless. :)

Nice job on the TEAS! :) we are supposed to hear back in late April, early May. If you are applying for Sacramento State as a "regular student" even if you don't get into the nursing program for Fall 2016, make sure you register for you "normal classes" if you don't hear a decision in time for regular class registration. If you are only applying to the nursing program (like me) there is no need to register for classes because if admitted, they register classes for you.

I am actually graduating with my Bachelor's in Health Science in April, so I didn't have to apply to CSUS for the general app, but submit extra transcripts in my Supplemental App. I got a 93.3% on my TEAS, 4.0, and 9 extra points.

My goal was to apply with an 85, but I happened to do better on my TEAS than I had anticipated. I think 85 is definitely a solid score, and you should have no problem getting in based on my understanding. :)

I am applying with a 96 total.

It took me a little over a week to here confirmation, but I sent my application in from Salem, Oregon by regular mail. :)

I am applying as a Second Degree seeking student, so I did not have to go through that November deadline to apply for CSUS. That must have been nerve racking in general! I just got the conformational email saying my supplemental nursing application was received and now I guess all I can do is wait. I am applying with a 96.
