Full time many times I do OT

So I have been working pediatric private duty for 2 years now. I have not had a pay raise and I am barely making it paycheck to paycheck unless I do OT (which the company don't mind). I have asked management about raises and I was told they don't give raises, however a nurse I trained mentioned HR had said they do give. I also asked about benefits and again I was told they don't offer any 😣 and again the new nurse said they did offer it to her. I also talked to a friend that works there and she said she is getting benefits from the company.... any advise on how to bring it up without throwing the nurses under the bus??? How do I request a pay raise without sounding needy or greedy??? I have been thinking about quitting but I love my patients... I know it's not about the money but I gotta live out of something. 🙁 The company is also going through changes and I am hoping they make it better for the field nurses but I believe I'm hoping for too much... It's not that bad though they are very flexible with our schedules which gives a great opportunity to go to school, when you request extra hra they will give them to you...but still TIA

Hi everyone, Any nurses working at correctionals at the moment? I just got hired and want some advise/pointers. I only have experience at nursing homes and pediatric private duty. However I want to expand my Horizons, I know it's not an easy job and it will definitely be challenging. So am seeking for advise. Thanks!

I decided to become a nurse when my grandpa got very ill, he had his leg amputated. He had visiting nurses doing wound care, of them taught me and I would do it on the weekends. The nurse explained to me why he was taking meds and how they worked. My grandpa would say I was his personal mini nurse. (I was about 16 at the time). Before he passed he held my hand and said I had the qualities to become a great nurse. 9 years later I did become a Nurse. No one ever really told me it was gonna be this is and stressing, but I love it. I am currently pediatric private duty nurse.

Hello, I am a brand new Lvn. I landed a job as a pediatric home health nurse. I will be getting my first baby soon. She was born at 32 weeks, was in NICU for 2 months. She was back at the hospital 3 days later for hypoglycemia and hypotension. She is now 3 months. I was given VS parameters except for her bp. Since she is a premie her bp is a little lower than a full term baby right? what would be consider normal for her...less than 50? Thanks in advance!!
