Hi, I have some questions about the proof of practice if you are able to answer. I passed my NCLEX-RN in Ontario, however my proof of practice will be expiring soon (and language proficiency is already expired). Someone else mentioned that I would likely have to do continuing education for another year but since you said that other provinces the time limit is 5 years I am wondering if this is possible for me to do instead? The problem though would be I'm not officially licensed until my language proficiency and proof of practice is completed with CNO :/ ...how would I transfer licensure to another province then? And is there a transfer fee as well? Or perhaps maybe this is all too much a hassle and I should redo a year in Ontario? -__-.

Wow, this is a lot of info. Thanks for taking the time out to type this all up for me. At the same time, the cost of everything is scaring me (do you remember the total cost it was for you?). Considering you have some work experience under your belt, I'm sure the classes came easier to you. Would you mind if I asked for your email to keep in touch? Hi Madricka, I am in a similar yet somewhat different situation from yours (maybe worse?). The difference is it's approaching 3 years now since I graduated school and taken the NCLEX multiple times (family and health issues got in the way) before finally passing. My practice expiry is next month May 2018. In a way, I am technically a new graduate just not so recent and with no actual clinical work experience (apart from back then in school) so I am wondering if you think I will have to take the same path as you (IEN George Brown, 400 clinical hours etc.)?? Basically, like doing a refresher course for several months?? I have emailed and called CNO but man being put on hold all the time is driving me nuts!! Just looking for advice/suggestions...thanks.

I am wondering about this too as I am on my final and 3rd attempt I want to know specifically which states will accept and allow Canadian grads to retake (if they fail all their chances).
