Thanks for trying. I'm just finding it extremely frustrating. I'm going to start my clinical in general adult but will need women's, peds, and geriatric eventually. I figure once I find my first preceptor I will most likely have an easier time finding the others. The clinical coordinator was no help but I figure I can't be the only student who has had issue in the past. I've got a few calls out to doctor's offices. If I can't find a preceptor in the next few weeks I'll contact the program director. Thanks again

To make it more difficult, if they work for AHS I can't contact them directly. This is impossible

Thanks Fiona I've been trying that. I'm finding it difficult to find names. The preceptor submission form requests the facility but also the name of the preceptor you wish to learn from. I'm finding it impossible

I'm taking my NP through Athabasca University and they apparently expect students to submit preceptor names for clinical placement. I received my BScN in Nova Scotia and don't have a large frame of reference to pull from for preceptors. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to find a doc or NP willing to preceptor a student without knowing someone who knows someone?
