Yes, I would say that you should call the manager asking if he or she how there hiring process is going and that you are still very interested. You should express your interest in detail again if you already have not and why. I just recently got hired by a hospital because I was very persistent about getting the job. The HR person told me that they like persistence and this is another reason I got the job. Emailing is another good way of communication. Good luck to you!
