  1. Hey! CONGRATS on getting a panel interview! I know how exciting and nerve-wracking it is! It was a few months ago, but I'll try to remember what they asked.... - A time I had to address conflict with someone at work - What are some of my weaknesses - Why I wanted to work on that floor (gynecological surgical) - What I knew about what they did on that floor - Why I wanted to work at Swedish - Why I went into nursing - What questions I had for them (HAVE QUESTIONS!!!!! What does a typical day look like? What would my schedule be like? What additional educational opportunities do you offer to your nurses? How long will I be with my preceptor? Will it be the same person throughout?) That's all I can remember! I'm sorry I can't think of more I interviewed at 11 AM, and I got a call around 5 PM from HR offering me a position.
  2. THANK YALL SO SO SO MUCH! I really appreciate all the advice and input :) Positive vibes, prayers, and good juju for my test on Wednesday are welcomed!
  3. OMG, me too! I nearly passed out in NS when I was assisting with ECT!!! I had to go sit in a chair and they gave me some crackers and sprite. hahahahah so embarrassing.
  4. Thank you so much!!!! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one only using UWorld!
  5. Thank you SO much! I guess I was just needing some reassurance from someone who has been in the same boat. What scores were you getting on UWorld?
  6. I know this is really late, but thank you for your comment!!! I actually got offered a position by Swedish a few months ago for their residency program and I accepted!!!! Maybe I'll see you at the hospital :)
  7. Hey guys! I take my NCLEX this Wednesday (7-20-16) and like everyone else, I'm FREAKING OUT. I bought HURST and made it about halfway through but I found it really hard to pay attention to the videos and needed something that was more interactive. I remembered a professor sending out an email after we graduated telling us about UWorld, so I went to the site and bought the 1 month subscription. I LOVE UWORLD. I love the rationales, I love how it's set up, and I love the diversity and intensity of the questions. My percentages have steady gone up over the past 3.5 days of me doing it. I started in mid 40s and I'm now in the low to mid 60s (my highest being 65%). So far I've completed 975 questions and plan to finish their questions before Wednesday. I feel like I've learned an incredible amount from UWorld and their rationales. It's getting down to crunch time, so I was wondering if anyone had any input on me just continuing to focus on UWorld and their rationales, or if I should steer myself back to HURST and their content review. Any and all input is appreciated. Thanks y'all!!!! -Kelsey
  8. Hey guys! I'm graduating nursing school in May. I go to Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN. I'm moving to Washington after graduation, so I've started looking for residency programs. So far I've applied to Northwest, EvergreenHealth, and Swedish. Two separate recruiters at Swedish emailed me and called me the same day I submitted an application to schedule a phone interview (I'm hoping that's a good sign). My interview is tomorrow at 1 pm central time. I've researched the hospitals history and their missions and values and I've researched nursing interview questions so that I could be as prepared as possible. Does anyone have any advice who has gone through Swedish's interview process (for the residency program or just in general)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for taking the time to read this! :)
