Hey guys. Good luck to everyone! I'm wondering if for those of us who interviewed for the BSN/MSN program it's possible that we get accepted just to the BSN part? That would be so much better than getting flat out rejected. I ordered my fall semester transcript on Jan 18th and UPenn hasn't received it. I just called my school and they said it got mailed on the 19th along with four others. (The other four schools received it within 3-4 days.) I was so frustrated that the UPenn one hasn't arrived because this is the one program I interviewed for.. I was hoping these grades would give me a bit of a boost. Thankfully the guy I spoke to offered to send another transcript to UPenn as a "courtesy copy" since he felt bad that it never arrived. I'm worried that I still might have had a tiny chance at Penn and this whole transcript thing ruined it. (And I didn't just procrastinate! My grades were supposed to be posted by the 9th of January but my microbio one got delayed and posted on the 18th. Pretty frustrating!) Anyhow, I keep reading on all the threads that everyone is super anxious and impatient about decisions. For whatever reason I'm not ready haha. I guess it's the fear of not getting into nursing school this year and having to wait another year, since I know that happens to a lot of people. But I wish you all the best! :)

My application status is still "File Under Review for Completion." Like I said, they JUST received my transcript for the fall semester, so I don't think they've actually mailed my letter yet. í ½í¸ž I don't really have a top choice, I'll be stoked to get in anywhere honestly. (I applied to seven programs.) Buuut of all the cities where I applied Boston is definitely my top choice, lol. I applied to Simmons, MGH, and Northeastern there. I've never to Boston but everyone speaks so highly of it and in pictures it looks so gorgeous! What attracted you to Simmons?

Oh I applied to the Direct Entry MSN! But I just took a look at that forum and several people have gotten acceptances (by mail) over the last few weeks.

Oh my gosh you're gonna make me vomit from nervousness, lol. I don't have an advisor so I'm wondering if I missed something somewhere along the way?? And if they're mailing out decision letters then it'll be a few days before we receive something, right? I haven't received anything via mail, email, or phone. And actually, I submitted my fall grades kind of late and I believe they just received my official transcript in the mail a few days ago. So I doubt they've even made a decision on me. Did you call your advisor to ask and that's how you got this information?

Hmm that's an interesting point. I definitely did get the why family health question.. buuut I kind of bombed the first part of the interview so I'm trying to prepare for bad news. Hopefully if I don't get in my spot can go to you. :)

Hey jmroh. 2021? That's crazy! I interviewed December 17th and I wasn't told any of this. But it sounds like your interviewer was implying that you'd be accepted since they're already suggesting other tracks. If they gave me the option of switching and it meant I'd get into the program, I'd definitely do peds. In fact, a year ago I thought I'd be applying to peds tracks at all the schools but I decided on a family specialty instead.

Hey Roshhh. The 2017 group is called "MGH IHP DE NP 2017" but unfortunately not many people have posted. Wish I could answer your questions but I don't know much about the type of students that get accepted. My stats aren't impressive by any means but I'm applying anyway. Good luck!

How did you guys submit fall 2016 grades? Mine just became available a few days ago and I emailed the school with my unofficial grade report (a printer-friendly PDF form from my community college webadvisor account). I just got an email saying my app is incomplete and it's that transcript. I don't know if maybe they haven't gotten to my email yet or if the PDF I sent them isn't "official" enough. I need to have this submitted by the 26th in order for them to review my app.

One of my recommenders submitted on Jan 3rd and another did just today after I emailed her several times trying to get a hold of her.. I'm super worried that because two of my recommendations were late that'll affect my chances. Feeling kinda bummed. Question too.. The website indicates that if you have more than one outstanding pre-req they may not consider you. When I submitted my app I had already completed the fall semester but I didn't have my grades so I marked a few classes as 'in progress.' I just now got all my final grades and emailed the school to send them in. Now I only have human anatomy left, which I'm gonna take this semester. I should be okay regarding pre-reqs, right?

Alright, I went to the submit page and it said "application complete" so I'm hoping that means I'm good to go even though two of my recommendations are gonna be late. Anyone know if MGH does interviews? I can't find anything about interviews on their website. And when I submitted my application right now it said decision letters will be sent out in 8 to 10 weeks.

Thanks for your quick response! Everything else is done. I'm just so paranoid that if I submit (assuming it allows me to) and pay the $100 they won't look at my application because it's missing recommendations.. That would be a huge waste of money.

I know this is a long shot because no one has posted on here since July, but I am kind of panicking. I logged in late last night to finish up my application and noticed that two of my recommenders haven't completed their parts! One is marked as "started" and the other is marked as "notified." I sent them reminders but given that it's New Years and a weekend I'm afraid they won't get to it on time. Do you guys think I can submit my application before they complete their recommendations?

Hey guys. I'm hoping someone can help me out. I got an email from the school on the 20th indicating that my application was incomplete and that I need to log in and see what I'm missing. My transcript is marked as "not received" and I think it's because the unofficial transcript I uploaded wasn't "official" enough. I now have a scanned copy of my official transcript but I can't make changes to my application!! Anyone know what I should do? I'm guessing the school is closed this week for the holiday season (like every other school) so I haven't even tried calling or emailing them.

That's kind of concerning. I would try to contact the school.. and you should probably do it today because most schools are closed next week for the holidays. FC contacted me (via email) in early December and asked which dates worked for me, and like I said I interviewed on the 17th.

Hey everyone. I just submitted my FAFSA and filed it as an independent since that's what Columbia said to do. I have never worked and therefore never filed taxes. But because I still live with my mom I went ahead and provided her tax information. I'm super stressed about filing as an independent because there are some programs that I'm applying to (as I'm sure you guys are too) that are BSN/MSN programs. Am I still considered a dependent for the BSN portion of those programs because it's an undergraduate degree? I feel like my FAFSA is wrong (??) and it might affect my financial aid for several programs. This is so stressful!

Mine says "Status: Application Submitted - Fee Paid." I completely goofed and forgot about the midterm grades until like two weeks ago. But since I was about to finish the semester I decided to wait until final grades are out. So far 2 of my 4 classes have posted final grades, so I'm waiting for the other two. I wonder if this will hurt me.. Getting a bit nervous now.

Hey @raellagr, why crashed and burned it?? I had my FNP interview on the 17th as well and given that it was my first interview for anything EVER I was SUPER nervous. I think it showed and caused me to bomb my first two questions. After that I relaxed and did okay but still, I think I ruined my chances of getting an acceptance. Feeling pretty bummed. Hey guys, I too am applying to NEU's Direct Entry Program. I'm so confused about transcripts. The application says to arrange to mail in official transcripts, but in their Graduate Programs FAQ it says that they accept scanned versions of official transcripts uploaded to the application. I'm about to do both just to be on the safe side. What did you guys do?

Hey everyone! I got an interview invite for the family specialty and I don't think I've ever been more excited! The school contacted me a few weeks back about missing information in my app. Turns out they want me to take the TOEFL because Spanish was my first language. Since most programs require the TOEFL only if you got a degree at a non-English speaking institution, I didn't think I'd need it for UPenn. I decided to wait it out till interview invites got released and if I got an interview I'd take it; if not then I wouldn't (because I don't need it for any other programs that I'm applying to!). So I'm stoked about the interview but stressing about the TOEFL. I really don't have the money to take this one exam for this ONE program. I tried reaching out to UPenn by email (to FC) but I didn't receive a response. Anyone else in this situation? Should I try calling the school? They want me to take it by Dec 1st so I need to hurry and figure out what to do.

Hey guys! Just started my Seattle U app. Does anyone know if they're still requiring the CLEP Algebra test? I spoke to Ben last year in September and he told me I needed to take it even though I've taken a few calculus classes. But I can't seem to find any info on the website. The website has changed quite a bit since I last went on it.

I'm currently working on the U of Rochester application but I'm feeling discouraged because I saw on another thread that someone said you have to have a 3.5 or higher, even though the website says "3.0 preferred." What do you guys think? Should I go ahead and apply?

What in the world?! I wonder if they extended that deadline because they didn't receive enough applications.. How do you know this by the way? Did they send out an email to the people who hadn't submitted their application yet? I went on their website and the deadline still says October 17th.
