  1. Hello, I often got asked as a USPHS nurse, what is it like to be in the USPHS. There have been other threads started on this topic on the allnurses site and many have shared their candid experiences with this uniformed service. These threads are, however, old and I am wishing to start a new. I am currently looking for all nurses or other professionals that have been in the USPHS to share their experiences and am most interested in officers that were treated poorly in this uniformed service to get a real and candid view of this branch of service and find out the "whys" of this poor treatment and how the situations can be remedied by those of us that have been treated badly. We are a stronger force if we stand united.
