  3. Hello fellow nurses i am looking for some advice. I have about two years experience in a sicu and absolutely love it. I was recently offered a job on a picu with an amazing manager and staff (something my current job lacks) and in a huge level 1 trauma center (actually named best in the state). As a fairly new nurse I know the experience will be an amazing one however I've never worked with peds and don't know if dealing with parents and coding children is quite my forte. Has anyone made this transition before or have any advice for me? I'm petrified to make the jump mostly because I'm leaving a place of comfort to fall into an area unknown. Any advice would be great. Thanks!
