Congrats on your acceptance! We have now completed our first two weeks of class and have already had three test this week. The program is really intense and requires a lot of time however many of the professors so far seem great and are truly knowledgeable. Hope this helps!

I did see the reading. I've already began the assignments given my fear of being completely overwhelmed and scared out of mind the first week. Plus, Im afraid that with all the reading, I may run the risk of falling behind, smh... I haven't had the chance of connecting with any of our fellow classmates since orientation. I attempted to use the Radius app through google with not much luck; however, I do appreciate all the help and support we have received from previous cohorts. Their advice and support has truly made this process a lot easier.

Hello! I wanted to thank you for offering us any advice or experience you have shared from APU. I cannot express to you how much it truly means. I felt that at orientation most of our questions were answered; however, I would like to ask you from personal experience if you purchased or rented your textbooks? Cost wise, there is a huge benefit to renting however it was mentioned in orientation that purchasing your textbooks allowed for access to online sources. Any suggestions? Thank you again!

Hi Tarra! Its been awhile since Ive been on this site but I felt a little anxious given its exactly a week till we begin class so I thought I would check the site for any updates. I am also in clinical group C!!! That's crazy... A familiar individual to share in the experience with, lol... Did you order your books yet? I was going back and forth with purchasing vs. renting. I don't know about you but I have found the last month to be completely stressful but exciting at the same time.

I feel the same way! Ive already asked friends and family not to call during the week of the 15th because Im pretty sure Im going to be jumping at every phone call, lol!

I was told that applicants should hear back via email or call between Nov 15-20 of their acceptance. I was also told that they usually only accept 22 students per cohort however this upcoming semester, they are hoping to be able to accept 30 students. In the interview, it was also mentioned that students with a overall GPA of 3.5 or higher are usually given top priority but each student will need approval from all five members on the board to be accepted into the program. From my understanding, for the applicants that they interested in they will ask them to come in and take a math test in May. After that they will set up interviews, and then decisions will be made in the beginning of June which seems kinds of late in my opinion.

I didn't apply to UCI because I didn't want to have to commute that far but I currently am attending Azusa Pacific now and I applied to there High-Desert program although there high-desert program seems to be even more mysterious than UCLA. I also applied to Mount Saint Mary's as well. Mount Saint Mary's is actually my top choice just because I've heard great things about there program but I've always wanted to go to UCLA so if I get in that would be amazing. I don't think I will hear back from Saint Marys till May or June so hopefully I will receive a decision from UCLA first which would help in my decision making.

EMT, huh!!! Quite impressive. In my opinion, EMT's never quite get the recognition that's deserved. It's definitely a difficult job. But same here, my GPA is like a 3.6 right now and I'm still currently in school. I'm also a ICU/ER technician at a Animal Specialty Hospital for the last 7 years so I'm hoping... Well good luck to you. Hopefully we might both have good news come late April, early May.

Your right, its a very mysterious program lol. From my understanding from other blogs, although GPA definitely matters, experience is also a plus for your application. For me, my GPA is meets the requirements for the program however I'm still somewhat banking that my experience might give me the extra edge that's needed. Well it looks like we have until April to wait and see. Did you apply to any other programs besides UCLA's BSN program?

Hello!!! I have been unable to come across any recent post regarding applicants for the UCLA BSN program for this upcoming Fall 2016, so I thought I might start my own. I recently applied to UCLA's BSN program as a transfer student and was curious if there might be anyone in the same boat? Or from current nursing students in this program who might be able to provide some feedback?! Thank you
