  1. I feel awful. I was on call one night for a shift. I tried calling to see if I was needed later in the shift, but my calls weren't going through. I restarted my phone and messages from earlier from the job started showing up. I guess a technological glitch. Messages from hours previously needing me to come in. I quickly called my coordinator and was told someone else had been called in and Id be placed as a no call no show. I was devastated. I always come in for my shifts unless I call to say that I can't. I'm not sure why this happened and am afraid of being terminated. I already let my manager know, but don't know what to do.
  2. Hi everyone! I just wanted to talk about how I prepared for nclex and utilized Saunder s comprehensive review and Uworld (mostly!) to study for boards. I know we have all heard of Hurst,Kaplan and Nclex mastery.Whatever works best for you go for it.I could not see myself paying 350 for Hurst during my last semester since I had many other necessary fees due. Many of my classmates thought that since it had a high pass rate it was worth that money. Nclex mastery was very helpful.I believe it is 30.00 to purchase on the app store on your phone. The only thing about it was that the rationales could have been a little more in depth. I like to know WHY the right answer is right and why all the other choices are wrong in a detailed way. Saunders is a great content review.I used it for several semesters in nursing school and it helped me pass a lot of tests. The thing about content is you CAN'T study it ALL before boards. You just have to touch on what you know well and delve into your very weak areas.Mine were mental health,Fundamentals and (big shocker!)Pharm. Saunders allows you to just have a brief but still detailed info about the topic you need help on. I did 200 questions off the Saunders CD a couple days before my test. Now to my favorite!!:) UWORLD:) This was truly a blessing to have. Students who graduated before me told me about it I did a demo with 10 questions (now you can do 25) and loved how detailed the rationales were. Uworld allows you to do a max of 75 questions for each test and these are HARD questions. You really have to think. It includes pictures, drag and drop, exhibits and anything else you will possibly encounter on boards. The layout is also VERY similar to boards so you feel a little more comfortable about it. I did 75 questions a day. I was making from 57-65% which is where many people score. Of you are scoring in the 60-70% range in my opinion you are doing very well.I wrote rationales for all my questions.Writing it down, saying it out loud and teaching others what I learned helped the info stick in my brain. It was on my phone and tablet so I would do it whenever a wasn't busy, or at work on a break. The rationales make Uworld an amazing site to use. Classmates of mine have used it and passed. They love it!! It is now $60 for a month since demand for it is going up so if you already graduated or have your ATT and have scheduled your exam think about giving this a try.You won't regret it. P.S. Dont let anyone tell you that you need some expensive review course. Our school had a 3 day review for free offered by ATI and I learned so much from that experience. So if your school offers a free review go to it and learn as much as you can!! Good luck!!
  3. That sucks.I was a nervous wreck waiting. But I passed!!!so happy
  4. Thanks!!! I just didn't expect it to show up before my results.awesome!!
  5. Took nclex Saturday at 2 pm. This morning my georgia board of nursing showed my name as active with my license #.My quick results are still not available.Does this mean I passed?
