  1. Do you have any general do's and dont's that come to mind? Thanks for being willing to share!
  2. Yay! Congrats, @LPN2bMomma7!
  3. Well @canpip123, that was me that requested to be added to the group if you couldn't tell lol
  4. Good idea @canpip123! It would be nice to out some faces with these screen names
  5. @arsifferlen, thank you! I'm sure we will. (: @sweetRntobe, mine didn't say anything about accepted point ranges. It did, however, say that there is a mandatory meeting April 15th. Just a heads up for everyone. @robynk, I live in Mount Airy.
  6. Yay! I got my letter as well! Can't wait to hear from the rest of you! @Bseball4, that's what my TechLink change said: "Practical Nursing (Diploma)". I think that means you got in. (:
  7. Woohoo! Congrats! Can't wait to see if mine comes today!
  8. Thanks for the info @GodBody26!
  9. No completion date. Only thing with dates at all is under my educational plan. It says Practical Nursing (Diploma) 2016-2017 catalog year...I noticed in the 1st edition of the Paul Wiles school of Nursing Newsletter that the PN pinning is in July for 2016 graduates.
  10. Just checked the mail...nothing. Ugh, maybe tomorrow.
  11. I had 107 points, no letter yet, just techlink change.
  12. @sweetRntobe, you go to techlink, then 'webadvisor for students', then 'My Academic Profile', then 'My Profile'. Scroll to the bottom where it says 'Academic Program'. Mine has changed from "General Occupational Tech - Practical Nursing" to "Practical Nursing (Diploma)".
  13. @arsifferlen, I just checked and mine changed too! I think you're right, I think this is good news! Everyone go check!
  14. Haha. Well I'm hoping you're right and it means you got in and the rest of us will notice changes soon too! Fingers crossed we will all get good news soon (:
  15. Some of my stuff has shifted around a bit, but I noticed it happened at the same time as the website change, so I attributed it to that. I haven't noticed any changes in the last week or so (since the website change) but maybe yours was just one of the first ones to be changed?
  16. If i remember right, their techlink profiles changed from general occupational tech to Practical Nursing around March 20th last year so we can at least be on the lookout for that! This waiting is driving me crazy!
  17. Can anyone tell me what JobLink is? Not a lot of info is coming up when I try to find a local one.
  18. Thanks, @PharmGuy. You're right. I honestly hadn't thought of that. Hopefully there will be power points available to print.
  19. @LPN2bMomma7 that's awesome! That's my total points too! I can't wait to find out if we get in. (:
  20. Thanks, @kalycat. It's looking like I may need to invest in some different colored pens to take notes with. I study and retain info better when I write each piece of info a little visibly differently.
  21. @Emergent, that's great! I hope I can take good enough notes to not have to listen/record but I have an hour long drive to the school I hope to attend. Thought I might play the recording on the ride to school to try to make the time useful. What note taking style did you use?
  22. @JustBeachyNurse I remember students recording in A&P so I think it's allowed. I'll double check! I figured I could just use my phone, but had no idea which app to use or if I would have to keep it stored on my phone which I'm sure would take up lots of space. The airplane mode idea is a nice tidbit I didn't think about. Thanks for the advice!
  23. I hope to start a 10 month LPN program in August. I have seen multiple posts about tips for new students. In almost all of these posts I see "Record your lectures." I was just wondering if anyone had a specific device or way of recording/listening that really worked well for them? Thanks in advance!
  24. @Lapishsunsmile, I'm the same way. Will you guys be working while in school?
