  1. Email to eline students went out Friday around 2pm. It was from Daphne Ray, the undergraduate Senior Secretary. It has the information about joinin the webex for this coming Wednesday. It does say specifically eline students so I cant speak for the on-campus bunch.
  2. Im not sure; I only applied for the eline program. The call was not very lengthy. She just told me everything will be in the email she is sending about the webex.
  3. Thanks very much! No, it wasnt the advisor I had normally dealt with. I was to excited to even grab the name at the time but definitely was not my advisor.
  4. I received a call today (Thursday) around 2pm that I was accepted. She told me emails should go out by end of week and official letters are being mailed out soon. There is a webex to meet with professors and staff next Wednesday for a mini orientation over the program prior to acceptance of our spot. Good luck everyone! My stats were Overall: 3.78 Science: 3.25 Hesi overall: 89 Reading:94 Critical thinking: 870 I only applied for the eline program and am in Houston.
  5. San Jac may have extended theirs to June 1st. They should be posting to their website this week on the their updated deadline dates.
  6. I saw that Lonestar has an evening program. I dont details on it yet though. Meanwhile, I will work towards prereqs for BSN.
  7. I believe San Jac does but their deadline is in April. It has been difficult to find other evening programs in the Houston area
  8. I believe they are closed tomorrow in observance of MLK day.
  9. Well they cannot admit any new students until they meet 2 conditions: 1) allow students enough time for a background check and 2) bring their pass rate to 80% or above. My question is: When are the new pass rate calculations done? It says time period of Sept 2015- Oct 2016.... If i am assuming correctly then that means no Fall 2016...

  11. I was planning to apply as well and went crazy when Rosa sent me the email. Their pass rate has been declining so no wonder. I am stumped because I need an evening program and there are not very many to choose from.
  12. Email from HCC today: Good afternoon Lupe, Thank you for your interest in the ADN program at HCCS - Coleman. This concern will have to be referred to the ADN Department. News that may impact your academic planning: Due to pending board decision on accreditation, HCCS will be notified in February whether the ADN program maintains or loses accreditation. If the program loses accreditation, no additional students may enter the program. If the program maintains accreditation, the application steps will most likely change to meet board recommendations. Please feel free to email with your concerns you may have about this update. At this time, Coleman Advisors recommend students to apply to multiple nursing schools. HCCS will continue accepting applications from students and notify all applicants of the decision and how it will impact them. Best regards, Rosa Nguyen Academic Advisor I John B. 13. I see the trend of starting a thread for each new application period and did not see one for the FALL 2016. I am applying for the FALL 2016 program which has a deadline of June 1st. Nervous but excited. My plan is to get accepted and if not to apply to other ADN programs the following Spring 2017. My main reason to apply at HCC was:1) it was in-district and 2.) it offered evening classes. I am not sure if anyone else has attended any of the recent info sessions but they make the evening program sound confusing. From what I gathered it was based on class availability so there may be times when you will have to take morning classes. I would find this difficult because I am going to be doing the forbidden; school and work. I have yet to take my HESI but I am one class away from completing my pre-reqs. Well, hopefully we can share more thoughts and questions on what is to come. Good Luck everyone!
