  1. I am in the ABSN program but both programs are set up very similar with same professors. Lived in Utah before but also lived in San Diego area and Norcal. I love both as both have their good and bad. Most of my cohort is from CA and they seem to be obsessed with Utah to be honest and don't find it particularly hard travelling back home for a weekend now and then. If you have any other questions feel free to email me direct at [email protected]. I am not a roseman rep but this site doesnt allow me to have an inbox for some reason and I want to help you guys out. That goes for anyone btw.
  2. I am 1/3 of way through program in SJ. You can PM me if you want and I can answer most of your questions I suppose.
  3. My interview was at the campus in Utah but it took the whole time they said. Its just your run of the mill interviews with two of the directors/deans of the school.
  4. Not a good idea. You are on campus at least once a week even if not in lab or clinicals. If you are going to attend you need to move to the area.
  5. For those doing the ABSN in Utah what books are you required to have? Thanks
  6. I have some questions but this site will not let me PM. Thanks!
  7. I would do the 24 month program then. Nursing program is pretty intense as is. I was a bio/premed major and went to paramedic school sure I was going to rock the program and...it was very difficult even with a super sound knowledge of human physiology, pathophys etc.
  8. kinda depends on how strong your background is in medicine.
  9. Don't miss or they will boot you out of school! lol...what are your fears? general needle phobia? Have you watched any youtube videos on venipuncture before?
  10. No, not in school currently. Coming from EMS as a paramedic and it comes up more as social question.
  11. So...was looking for some feedback. Trying to explain the difference to someone. Best explanation I have heard is one is a scientist the other is a scientist and caregiver rolled into one. One mostly cares to treat the disease where the other is more a holistic/educator/treat the pt approach.
  12. Not medical advice: I had something similar happen. When in doubt I would always cut paper so that at least there was a paper trail if for some crazy reason something did happen down the road you could make the facility pay for the treatment. My 2 cents.
  13. Anyone have info about the ABSN program in UTah? Looking into going there but want to make sure it's a good gig. Thanks
