  1. Thank you. That's how I would look at it, but I haven't been in management for a long time either, and I'm sure things have changed. I have heard that it is difficult to get back into the hospital now days of you've been out of it for very long. Glad to hear you're thriving!
  2. Thanks for the reply! I should have mentioned that the office position is full time, with set M-F hours, which, if I had transportation for my kids to/from school and activities, would be a great fit. I was just considering trying to find a PRN or part time position until at least one of my kids can drive. There is nothing part time in my area, other than direct care jobs. Just wondered if I had a chance at actually getting a bedside job again, since I've had more of an instructional job for many years.
  3. Hi all, I earned my BSN 20 years ago. I have about 7 years med with experience, including hospital and subacute rehab. Then I had a preemie with multiple special needs, which required 5 years of outpatient therapies. Stayed home with him. Homeschooled him for 6 years. Was recently able to secure a great RN office job, but it was not flexible enough for me to transport kiddos to activities. My question: I've always wanted to be a Mother/Baby RN. I feel like my own complicated pregnancies and son's 45 day NICU stay taught me so much. However, I have not been a "bedside" nurse for about 13 years now. Is there any possibility of being hired, it or should I just let my dream go? Thanks for thoughts and suggestions 😃
