  1. yeah thank you very much. But does the nurse look at past medical history and the current meds that the patient takes? or do nurses purely assess by looking at vital signs and appearance of patient
  2. Im a nursing student and i am pretty confused. Would a nursing assessment be things like taking past medical history, taking clinical observations, and asking a patient to do a peak flow? or is that what a doctor would do?
  3. sorry, ive recently joined here so I am not too sure how this site works. I was just stuck on whether the pathophysiology of pain is similar to the one of acute pain, and to the one of post surgical pain? or whether it is completely different. I understand that nociceptive pain occurs when there is a inflamation, so will it be appropriate to say that nociceptive pain is basically post surgical pain?
  4. i didnt ask you to do my homework. I have read articles, and searched on the web, but unfortunately the information provided is too much and too complex that i cant understand. Therefore, i was hoping someone could give me a little summary
  5. thank you im going to try my best
  6. sorry i havent worded it quite right, due to stress. It would have been much easier to describe, but the question is critically discuss the pathophysiology of pain
  7. thank you for your reply. Yeah it is thoracotomy sorry for that. I am currently studying nursing, and as part of our studies we need to write up an essay. The essay requires us to criticise the pathophysiology of post surgical pain
  8. I am really confused, can someone please explain to me the pathophysiology of post operative pain? the patient had an thoractomy furthermore, they asked me to criticise it, but i am not too sure how to do this. can anyone help please? im literally in desperate need of help
