  1. Hi there! I had a high 3.5 GPA and an 89.3 on the TEAS. I also have my B.S. in Public Health as I applied as a second degree seeking student. I also work as a CNA at a hospital in San Diego. During my interview I was asked a lot about my experience so I think that was a plus.
  2. I feel you. I've been refreshing my email all day while at work. I guess we really won't find out until maybe this Wednesday or the end of the week.
  3. Around what time did everyone find out they got accepted or denied for the last cohort? I'd wait until tomorrow afternoon to start asking Nicole.
  4. Does anyone know what the average GPA and TEAS stat scores were for this cohort?
  5. Hi, there were 2 interviewers that interviewed me. Mine only took a good 10-15 minutes and I went earlier than my initial appointment. Good luck to everyone else! We should be hearing a week from now for acceptances.
  6. I saw that another person on this discussion thread is interviewing on Tuesday as well. Does anyone know if the interviews are separated between the generic entry versus second bachelor's degrees?
  7. My interview is on Wednesday. Good luck to everyone!
  8. @maybeanursingstudent just out of curiosity. When you got your interview email for cohort 61, did you get to choose what interview date to attend? Or do they give you one specific date? Hoping we hear soon or by early next week.
  9. What would be considered competitive for the GPA and TEAS?
  10. I apologize if my post may have offended or upset anyone. I had no means to criticize anyone who gets accepted into CSUN. I am speaking on my own personal conflicts that it would not work out. I realized how impractical the situation would be for me, personally. Let alone that I don't have financial support relocating is a big factor. Everyone's nursing journey is different and requires different sacrifices. Mine would be accepting that there are other schools out there that I can apply to without solely prioritizing this one.
  11. I also think the admission process is very disorganized and unprofessional. It's sad that they pushed it back so far. I understand that there are limited seats, but that's almost every other nursing program in California. I'm sure other schools get 300+ applications as well. I've decided that it would not be practical for me to go to this school if I was even considered. More so on the fact that I would have to relocate, quit my job, and I don't even know how financial aid would go. At this point, I would like to just get a denial confirmation and move on.
  12. Hi, that's a really good TEAS score! It really depends on your GPA stats in my opinion. To calculate your score you take your (TEAS score/100)*(40%). To calculate your GPA score its (GPA/4)*(40%). You add the two totals and divide by 80 to see your overall score just for TEAS and GPA.
  13. Oh wow. I have been checking my portal and CSUN email almost every day since the applications closed. I even emailed Yvonne to make sure everything was received and that's about it. Nothing about an interview. ?
  14. Thank you! Hoping to do better the second time around. Also, I bought the yellow ATI TEAs secrets book. However, I only found that helpful for the Math and English & Language sections for practice. I highly recommend Brandon Craft on Youtube for Math since he basically went over all types of questions you'll encounter on the exam. I also bought the version A&B practice exams from the ATI TEAs website. I found those helpful to see where your strengths and weaknesses are in each subject.
  15. Hello! On my first attempt, I got an 80. I am actually retaking my TEAs exam tomorrow for a better score.
