Hi all- Just an update, I ended up declining my spot at UMB to accept a spot at UMD's program. Hopefully someone who was on the waitlist too gets a call soon J

My status changed & i received an email...it went into my SPAM folder though, so be sure to check there!

I'm in!! Has anyone else heard?

I hope they accept more! I s/w the program director and she said only 8 because this is their first year. However, maybe things have changed!

I'm hearing now that the committee isn't meeting until next week and we won't know until the end of the month. boo! I also know they are only accepting 8 applicants since this is the first cohort.

Thanks, Roseviv! Your note saves me from sending ******** another harassing email! I know they are only accepting students for the initial cohort, so I'm very cautiously optimistic!

I'm in the same boat as you! I've been trying to squeeze some sort of info out of the admissions center but they won't budge! It certainly is a bit frustrating!!

Thanks! I've tried admissions, there seems to be very little info they can give out (understandable, but very stressful for me!). Hope to hear something (anything!) soon!

I'm on the wait list at UMB. I do wonder if they didn't consider my application because I have Chem outstanding. It's kind of crazy how all of these schools have such different requirements!

Can I ask everyone what their credentials were? I was denied entrance, but was a little surprised since I have pretty good credentials (3.3 Undergrad in PoliSci, 3.9 GPA on prerequisite courses - with Chem still outstanding (maybe that was it) ). I submitted an essay, LOR and CV.

Can I ask you what deadlines they gave you for deposit, acceptance etc? I am on the waitlist, and the information they have given out about when they will accept folks, what the procedure is etc is very mum!

Awesome, congrats to you both! I'm curious what your stats are (more so for myself so I know if I should brace for bad news!). Does anyone have any idea how they are going about communicating acceptances/rejections? My status hasn't changed online at all, but hope it is because they are still reviewing applications :)
