  1. Yay! Congrats you guys! I got my acceptance email as well but will be turning down the offer. Good luck to all of you on your future endeavors! It was a pleasure going through this process with you all. :)
  2. Hey everyone! I got into UTHSCSA, so if I do get accepted into UIW, I will be turning down that offer! Good luck to all of you!
  3. maybe check your spam folder?
  4. I'm in, guys!!!!
  5. I agree that this thread is very quiet! Friday can't come fast enough. Good luck to everyone, we are nearing the end of this long, tedious process! Where did y'all get prerequisites done? For the Fall 2016 cycle, I believe 50 acceptances came from Alamo Colleges and 38 from UTSA!
  6. Thank you! :) However, I heard UIW has higher NCLEX passing rates compared to UTHSCSA.
  7. Eeeeek! Late September seems so far away! My roommate also got an email asking for her summer transcript to be sent over! She told me the same thing about the committee reviewing applicants. I also applied to UTHSCSA and I'm supposed to hear back next Friday before 5 PM! Needless to say, I am very nervous!
  8. Ahh! I hate waiting! How are you guys holding up?
  9. no idea, what are everyone's stats looking like?
  10. Same! I was on instagram the other day and typed in #uiwnursing and i saw this girl got her acceptance letter for the Spring in mid September! If that's the case, we still have a ways to go!
  11. I currently volunteer at University Hospital! It's kind of a lengthy process but very well worth it! You submit an application, schedule an interview, attend orientation, and then you're free to volunteer!
  12. Hey everyone! Glad to see the thread finally has people commenting on it! The deadline is coming up pretty quick!
  13. Hopefully so! In the meantime, we need to distract ourselves!
  14. For sure! I just wish we would hear back already! Too bad it hasn't even been a week since the deadline!
  15. Yeah, for sure! My roommate also applied and I'm sure she would love to join!
  16. I finished all my prerequisites except Public Speaking which I am taking this Fall semester at UTSA! I know I've said this before, but I am glad I found this thread, y'all! I couldn't imagine going through this process without anybody!
  17. Awesome! I also noticed that UIW had higher NCLEX pass rates compared to other institutions in SA! I am also applying to UTHSCSA, but if I get into UIW, I'm probably gonna go there! I got a letter in the mail and was offered a scholarship so if my school is paid for, I know where I'm going!
  18. Hopefully so! Is UIW the only place y'all applied to?
  19. Hey everyone! I haven't seen a thread yet for the UTHSCSA Spring 2017 application cycle, so I decided to start one! The deadline is coming up in less than a month! Feel free to comment whatever you would like!
  20. Thanks, y'all! So I went to turn in my TEAS scores early last week, and there was a girl there doing the same. While I was talking to the secretary there, I overhead the assistant talking to the girl about NursingCAS...as we all know, the application was due July 1...and the girl said "what's NursingCAS?" literally 2 days before the deadline! I pray that she got all her stuff in, but I was shocked she hadn't started yet!!
  21. I made a 78.7% which is considered "Advanced" so I am pretty excited! I just have to head over to the school and give them my TEAS V scores and the Acknowledgment of Legal Information Form!
  22. Sooooooo, I got my TEAS results back!
  23. I will definitely do that! Thank you so much! My roommate is also applying to UIW and she will be taking the TEAS with me! Also, I called UIW yesterday to ask about my transcript that hasn't been processed by NursingCAS yet, and they said that as long as I had completed and submitted my NursingCAS application, I would be fine. If the transcripts came in after July 1, they would still be processed!
  24. Thanks for the heads up, guys! I'm not too worried about Science much...I'm more worried about the Reading and Math than anything! I've been "studying" a lot this week so hopefully I'll do well! I am aiming to make at least an 80%!
