The most recent stats (website link below) show Ameritech College actually outperforming BYU and U of U nursing programs in regards to NCLEX pass rates, the biggest factor in determining a nursing schools success. Ameritech has crafted an amazing program. Their small class size enables a trusting and productive environment. I graduated from in 2013, and left fully the program mentally and emotionally fully prepared. It was easily worth every penny. I'm reading many views discouraging people from attending schools such as Ameritech. I'm guessing such posts are meant to help, however, it sounds as though these people may be getting their information via unreliable sources. As someone who went to SLCC, UVU, BYU and Ameritech, I can honestly say Ameritech was the right choice for me. They have a great program with great student and administration moral. While Ameritech is extremely strict and fiercely demanding when it comes to homework, expectations their students etc. they also do their part in providing an environment of intelligent instructors who are well educated in being able to teach different teaching methods in order to aide you in learning the way that's most natural. One suggestion I would make is to do your GE's and prerequisites (pathophysiology, anatomy etc) at SLCC. The longer class term cultivates a firm foundation of knowledge that nursing classes can build upon. Good luck! http://www.dopl.utah.gov/licensing/forms/nurse_NCLEX_pass_rates_RN.pdf
