Mine aren't. I called and asked about it and they said they had them though, so... Idk why they don't show up.

My NLN isn't under the tests and placement tab either.

I'm pretty sure if you don't have the vaccination, you can get a Hep B titer which would show whether or not you're immune. And if it shows you're not immune then you have to do the vaccinations. But when I was reading the Health Science physical and immunizations form, you're able to sign and decline to receive the Hep B vaccine and/or titer.

What do you mean it has been updated?

Took mine today. Got a 150 composite, so my total is 182. I think I read on past forums that they tell you through RiverMail @JessRobulock. Now it's just the waiting game!

I think its only 2 hours total. Can someone who took it already verify how many questions are in each section? Is it 40 for verbal, 30 for math, and 40 for science? Or is it still 60/40/60?

Hey, Glittershot! I guess I'll start since I found past threads of that info super helpful. I try and study everyday for a couple of hours at least. Doing practice questions and reading the red NLN book. I have As in both pre-reqs and labs so I guess I have 32 points so far, just nervous for the NLN. With transfer credits from my Bachelor degrees, my GPA is 3.66.

Did anyone get an email thanking them for attending the nursing info session? I was reading past forums and saw something about that, but I never got anything. I believe I went to the one in July.

When I went, she said that the TABE will give you a better idea of where you need improvement for the NLN. Once you're accepted into the program, you'll be required to take it. So it won't hurt to do it now when it could help you with the NLN.

Sounds good to me! And Jessika, they updated their main website to say that only people who apply to the program and I assume pay the application fee by the Sept 1 deadline, will be able to register for the NLN at IRSC.

I'm slightly nervous for the NLN too. I bought that red book that everyone mentions, so I am going to be studying that after I'm done studying for my CNA exam that should be coming up soon. I can't make it to the review sessions since I'm out of town, but does anyone know what changed on the "updated exam"? Online, IRSC says they will not be taking NLN scores prior to May 2016, so I assume there must be some type of difference, but I can't find anything.

I can't seem to find where it says anything about Spring 2017? I only see clarification for Fall 2017 and Spring 2018. Was the minimum initially a 2.5?

The AHA certification is good for 2 years and then you can just renew it when it's about to expire. So I wouldn't see why you wouldn't be able to. I just did mine a few days ago!

I suppose I'll just buy the book that's out then! Unfortunately I can't make it to the review sessions since I live out of town at the moment. Have you found them more helpful than just going through the study book?

Hey everyone, I plan on applying to IRSC's Nursing program for Spring 2017, and thought I would create this thread for us to talk about the application process! I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to study for the NLN? I keep seeing that they're updating the exam on IRSC's website, so I'm not sure if I should use the current study materials? Also has anyone had troubles figuring out transfer credits? I will have a BS from FSU and the courses that I've taken for A&P and Microbio have different course codes than the ones IRSC offers. Good luck to everyone who plans on applying! Hopefully this thread can be as helpful as the last few semesters' threads have been.
