@hungrystudent i was actually wondering what the demographics of our class might look like. I bet it will be all different ages, some right out of college, and some who worked after college and are now getting back in. I graduated from OSU in 2012 so it's been a few years. I started the pre-reqs a year ago because i was really itching to get back to school after 3 straight years without a raise and living paycheck to paycheck working full time and still after picking up a part time job on top of it. So excited for this change in course.

aww, good point! Is it weird that I'm still super nervous to meet everyone? I've never been so anxious about starting school in my life lol

Congrats @pmhnp5!!!! I will be starting the PMHNP program in June. I am soon excited and so glad you've had a good experience. Question for you: did you work during the program and if so how much?

How much do the two week courses cost?

how was the CNA course btw, i am taking it in April at CSCC

We only need to have taken the CNA course, we don't have to take the state test

Start date is supposed to be either June 7th or June 21st. They haven't decided yet, I guess they're doing some restructuring of the semester. We should know for sure in March.

Aww! Don't worry Pray247, I have a feeling you will get good news soon as well! The way they're sending out decisions in waves is strange, but I'm sure they're not anywhere near done with the acceptances

My acceptance fee was not waived I wish though! I went ahead and accepted. I'm assuming I got into PMHNP because that's what my online interview was for....

I do plan to work while in the program, but hopefully not full time! I would love to get a Graduate Associate position on campus, I believe those only require about 20 hours a week. If not I've honestly contemplated just being an Uber driver lol

Every person I've spoke with about the program have all shared positive feelings about the program. None of them were "friends" of mine, but I've definitely reached out to people who are in the program on Facebook before I applied to see if they would still recommend it.

Welcome to the forum Kankan! Is this your first time applying? Are you still working on any pre-reqs? I'm taking the pharm course online through OSU this semester. Has anyone here taken it already? Wondering how difficult it is going to be. There aren't a lot of points so it makes me a bit nervous....

Does anyone know if decisions are sent out alphabetically in any way? Just curious if I'll be one of the last to hear, as I am used to with a last name of Weaver :-p

My degree is in Psych with a 3.495 GPA. I did well in my prereqs so I guess that would probably bring the cumulative up, they said they take all classes completed and calculate a new GPA from that...which I never worked out on my own. I will be so disappointed if I don't get in. I guess theres always next year.....I wanna get the show on the road though and graduate before I'm 30 lol

Maybe that's only for accepted students then? Idk.........

I've heard from past students that you will actually get the email saying you were accepted or not before they even update the status on the website

I've been busy with 2 jobs :'( WAHHHH!!!! I don't think the lack of BSN will be much of an issue, the NPs i've met recently have actually come out of this Grad Entry program, or just had an associates before their masters. They were all employed.....

When I tried to get approval for the OSU pharmacy course I initially didn't receive any word and it was because they were sending the invite to [email protected] instead of [email protected] - when they updated my email address I received the invite without an issue, this was before they sent interview invitations, so I probably would not have gotten that email either if I hadn't already worked it out with the school of nursing. I would ask them what email they sent it to initially.

Hey Everyone, I just found this thread and wanted to join in! I applied for PMHNP and also interviewed online last month. SO ANXIOUS! Does anyone know if the admissions office wants us to send them updated transcripts if we've finished a pre req since the applications were due? I'm super nervous about the people who have mentioned not getting in because of pre reqs not being complete. Do you know that is for sure the reason you weren't admitted? Good Luck Everyone! I hope we all get in and get to meet in June!
