I finished all the questions and my average was about 58%. I thought that was really low, so I also reviewed all my incorrect ones! After doing all the incorrect ones, I then went through each category individually on topics I had lower than 60, and would get test scores in the 70-80% I would definately look at the rationales!

Hello everyone I'm new to writing on allnurses. I have been following several threads through my time of trying to pass the nclex and I promised myself that I would write a post for the people who were looking for a glimmer of hope after failing the first time. I took my nclex the first time on Oct 5, 2015. I got to 150 questions and just fell apart after trying the pearsonvue trick and seeing "insufficient funds", within 24 hours I was emailed stating that I had failed. I cried for hours and just didn't know what to do...For my first test, I had used virtual ATI that my school had provided and even got the green light, I also used Kaplan as supplemental. After allowing myself to cry the rest of the day, I got back on my feet. I spoke to my classmates who had passed and asked them about their resources to pass. That's when one classmate brought up uworld. Uworld was the key to my success! I really got into the rationales and learned from each question. I didn't have money to spend a lot, so paying 49 for a months subscription was just right for me! I also rented the Lacharity delegation and prioritization book that a lot of people on allnurses said was a necessity... they were right! It was only 18 to rent the book on amazon! I tested again November 23, 2015, my computer shut off at 75 questions and within 24 hours I was emailed stating I passed! Also, I have really bad anxiety for testing, the first exam I was a wreck, I allowed my anxiety to get the best of me. The second time, I tried to breath and going in, something that really helped me was that Uworld's layout is very similar to the nclex. So if there's anything you got from this, just know you can do it and please please look into Uworld! It really helped me...
