I work with residents and they are very good starting IV. They do an IV and draw lab for us at the same time. When we have a hard time getting IV we ask for help from them in NICU. I saw how they put IV to a premature baby at temporal region and dressing it with a medicine cup to hold the IV. It is a skill to learn from.

You should talk to you old boss that you worked with in that place first and let them know you want to come back to work. I think they will say something first before you apply. If getting a job in that place is out weight other optional choices (getting a job far from family), you should give it a shot. You are the person who going to deal with all of the challenges, stresses and changes. Good lucks!

I volunteer to show a newbie nurse how to do hearing screen on a patient. I only know her first name from her badge. The test got a refer result. I accidently said it loud, Dang, it's refer again,” because I was very frustrated with the machine that keeps getting a refer result. She looked at me in an awkward facial expression. I later learned that the newbie nurse's last name was Dang. From that day, I never use any slang exclamation of disappointment or frustration any more.
