  1. Thank you Keen Observer! I took your advice and that was a lot easier 😊
  2. I forgot to tell you to search for it under groups and you'll see it.
  3. I started a fb page but didn't get very far. If you search CSUS Nursing Class of Spring 2018 and request to join I will add you (it's a closed group). Feel free to post anything regarding our cohort. I think it will make communicating with each other a lot easier ☺. Please let others know about the page. Thanks!
  4. Anyone interested in starting a Facebook group? Other cohorts have done this and it's a great way to keep everyone informed about assignments, social events, etc.
  5. Is anyone interested in starting a Facebook page? This has been done for other cohorts and is a good way to keep everyone informed regarding assignments, social events, etc.
  6. Does anyone know if we are required to carry our own separate health insurance throughout the program.
  7. Hi nik1987. Thank you so much for checking in on us newbies. I was actually wondering if you have had any professors who don't allow the use of electronics (laptop, iPad, voice recorders) in class.
  8. I'm in as well. Congrats to everyone and looking forward to meeting you all :)
  9. Hi everyone. I mailed my app in from Woodland, CA on Feb 19th and still have not received a confirmation email. Anyone know how long it takes to receive the email? Thank you all and good luck!
  10. Well I am glad to know that you made the right decision and I wish you the best! Awesome that you have a back-up plan in place! Good luck!
  11. Thank you Honey Clover and Cawa. I need some words of encouragement right now. I'm hoping everything will work out in the end. Good luck to everyone!
  12. Hello all. Unfortunately, I may have to drop out of the Spring 2016 due to financial reasons. I am seriously heartbroken and feel even worse for wasting a spot for someone else but due to unforseen circumstances... Anyway, I am wondering if you think my points would be good enough to reapply again for the Fall 2016 cohort. My app score was an 83. Thanks for any input and good luck in school.
  13. I signed up for the Jan 8th class. It's the BLS for Healthcare Providers from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. It should make for a fun Friday night, lol!
  14. I have not. Still waiting...
  15. Okay, thank you coolmommy99. I assume we will be increasing the number of clinical hours as the program progresses. I ask because a friend of mine was looking at a school out of state and commented that the students would "only have about 500 clinical hours" and inquired about sac state's number of clinical hours. I started to freak out a little because I never considered 500 hours to be low but maybe it is...
  16. Does anyone know how many clinical hours we would be completing at Sac State?
  17. Thank you so much for your honest opinion. I decided I am going to dye it back to dark brown either before school starts or shortly afterwards (definitely before clinicals). Oh well, I got to express myself for more than half a year anyway! Haha... thanks again! :)

  19. Hi Everyone, I am new to allnurses and was recently accepted to CSUS Nursing for the Spring 2016 cohort. This may be a silly question but I currently have dark purple ombre hair (dark brown on top). Do you think I should dye it back to brown before I start school? I know we will be doing clinical rotations and I'm not sure if instructors/hospital staff will view my hair color as inappropriate or not. I usually get lots of compliments on it, surprisingly from older adults and I have shadowed at two hospitals and no one seemed to care but I don't want to start off on the wrong foot. By the way, congrats to those of you who were accepted! I am excited to meet you all and start this crazy journey :)
