  1. I'm supposed to start October 3rd/4th but I'm still waiting to take NCLEX so I'm cutting it super close.
  2. Is there a thread for those starting at Emory in October?
  3. I'm not sure why they said that's its not accelerated. But any BSN program less than 2 years is definitely accelerated. It's 6 quarters which when broken to semesters is 3 which is like a year and a half. It's fast paced and you don't get your regular Summer break but I preferred that because I just wanted to be finished. I had my Associates in Health Science when I started.
  4. Thank you so much. I am set to graduate at the end of August this year. It has been very difficult and challenging to say the least. But it is Nursing school and accelerated at that. I did end up having to sit out a quarter (I would be graduating next week) and then retake Pharm II. The grading scale is pretty strict. Anything less than an 80 is pretty much failing. No grades are rounded. The TEAS is required for entrance. It is very competitive to get in so score as high as you can on the TEAS and make sure you GPA is good. Clinicals depend on which class and quarter you are in. We mainly use Peidmont Hospitals for Adult Health and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for PEDs rotation. There are 6 total quarters. Let me know what questions you have and I'll try my best to answer them.
  5. I'm attending now. Finishing up my 2nd quarter (there are 6) It's an accelerated program and you definitely feel it. There are pros and cons like I'm sure any school has. Overall it's okay however I don't have another BSN program to compare it to. If you have specific questions I can try to answer them for you.
  6. Hey! CONGRATS! I was worried when they gave us such short notice to take it. I scored (77.3%) so proficient category as well thankfully! I got my acceptance today as well! So many questions, especially what days we will be in class so that I can figure out my work schedule. CONGRATS!
  7. So I just applied for the Fall cohort! Anyone else apply and take the TEAS ?
  8. Thanks! I got in contact with her. She said I should hear back from her this coming week with a decision.
  9. My rep is ********. I’ve literally only spoken to her once. I wish I could just find someone to give me an update to make sure my information was sent over to the Admissions committee
  10. Hey! I’ve applied just waiting to hear back about a decision. My Admissions rep is awful to get in contact with.
  11. Yes. Everything was completed . I had a 3.4 overall and a 3.7 science GPA. I am an EMT and currently work in a Pediatric trauma ER. I don’t know what else they could’ve been looking for but I hate I wasted so much money doing prerequisites there.
  12. I applied for the Spring 2020 semester and got out in the alternate list and then ended up not getting a seat at all so I’m not sure if I’ll be applying again. I’m currently applying to other programs.
  13. Anyone currently attending or trying to get in to the Nursing program at South College Atlanta campus?
