  1. true!!! i do understand needing to go through real experience to really know what it's like but i've seen people wanting to quit only after a few months but i guess every person is different! fingers crossed!!! thank you so much!!!
  2. I'm 30 years old and I have been a banker for the same company for 9 years now and I recently just graduated LPN school and got my license. I've always wanted to be a nurse. I applied for my employer 9 years ago thinking that it was only going to be a job while i get my nursing degree. Long story short, i got comfortable and here I am, 9 years later, still working for the bank. Don't get me wrong, they treat me well, good pay, good benefits, but it's really not what i want to do. I just got stuck because of the money. I guess my dilemma is, as excited as i am about starting my nursing career path, i am also TERRIFIED and nervous about leaving what i call my "comfort zone" which is my current job. It's been what i know for the past 9 years, steady income where i am can pretty much do the work in my sleep. Although i did have the proper training, i feel like i don't know anything and i am so scared to start! But i REALLY REALLY want to be a nurse. I guess what i wanna know, is for those of you that may have a similar situation like mine, how did your transition go? I understand i will have to start from the bottom since i have no healthcare experience whatsoever (my family are nurses but that doesn't count lol) and possibly may have to take a pay cut which is fine but yeah. I guess since i know what kind of pressure and stress i will have to go through as a rookie, it terrifies me... Any advise?
  3. Aaah.. That's what I was thinking too... I will try it again 24 hours after and we'll see.. For me, it's just something that kind of calms my nerves... But until I actually get the result, I'm won't celebrate nor cry lol thanks for the input! [emoji108]🏽
  4. Ah! Yay! I just took mine this morning.. I got the good pop up.. I left the test center feeling so defeated! So many SATA!!! Barely any meds and no math at all.. It did stop at 85 though but I heard it doesn't matter when it stopped anymore.. It's either u did really well or really bad... But either way, I have the slight hope I passed since I got the "good pop up"... Anyway congrats! Hopefully I can find out by Monday though quick results if I passed or not [emoji53]
  5. Soooooooo.... I've been reading all about PVT in so many different threads both on this site and other ones... Apparently it works... About 99% of those who got the "good pop-up" said it worked... But there's still that 1% that received false positive and false negatives... I know it's not something I should really rely on until I get my actual result... Buuuut it's just giving me slight hope since I did get the good pop-up... I took the test this morning (sat) and I'm hoping to find out on Monday if not Tuesday from the quick results if I passed.. But I was just wondering if the PVT has worked for those who took their exams very recently... And I was just wondering, for those who took it AZ, how quickly did the AZBN update after you took the nclex-pn? Any input would be much appreciated!! 😁
