I appreciate all of your help... I'm glad I joined all nurses.com I decided not to go to Fortis college and wait to apply to Miami dade college since this is my last semester doing my prerequisite. I have now until May 1st to apply therefore I'll be studying for their entrance exam (Hesi test). I would love to apply to Florida international university, Barry university, or even Nova university to get my BSN but my GPA is 3.1 the requirement to apply is 3.25 and Miami dade is 2.5 so I decided to get my ADN than go back for my BSN... I do not want to play around with these non accredited schools. A friend of mine went to Dade medical college for 2 months before the school closed down and she owes 13,000 she is very pissed, this is the amount for Miami dade college nursing program the complete year into the ADN program. I feel so bad for those students. I dodged a bullet because she was trying to convince me to go there thank God I didn't í ½í¹Œí ¼í¿¾. My heart goes out to them. But again thank you guys so much I really appreciate your replies í ½í¸Š

Thank you and your right ACEN only accredits LPN, Diploma, ADN, & BSN programs whereas CCNE only accredits BSN programs.. Some schools will allow you to transfer your credits from a non regionally accredited school to a regionally accredited school as long as you received your AA (general Ed. Courses prerequisites) from a regionally accredited school... I've just completed my prerequisite from a regionally accredited school (Miami dade community college) but my GPA is only 3.1 it's very competitive to get into these universities where they are accepting student who GPA is between 3.5-3.7 even though to apply you need 3.25 I tried Miami dade nursing program but I did not get accepted because my GPA was not high and I received a C in chemistry and microbiology lecture but A's in Anatomy 1&2 and microbiology Lab... I wanted to apply for Fortis College but it's not accredited by ACEN or CCNE even though there passing rate is 85%. I volunteer at baptist hospital and they will not hire nurses who did not come from a regionally accredited school unless they have a 1 year experience. This is my last semester at Miami dade and I will graduate with my AA and I want to transfer to a nursing program and I'm so confused on what to do exactly I don't want to make the wrong decision. Can anyone give me any advice please?
