I can finally bid adieu to OSCE for Overseas nurses. I took it the third time and was able to pass it despite being on the verge of being sent home.

I think there was one but she has to retake it again free of charge. May I know the reason why they failed you? If its alright. I wasnt expecting this to happen to me as well. My dreams died when they failed me twice. Im going to take it again the third time though just hoping I would make it through but I wouldnt get my hopes up. I tried appealing but to no avail. They said fail was deemed appropriate.

It truly is ridiculous, from what I heard the NHS is going down. I am going to take the OSCE again for the 3rd time and they will deduct it from my paycheck. If I cant make it the 3rd time then Im gonna quit and find much bigger opportunities from other countries. Everything is really annoying when you know that you are a good nurse and yet you failed because of the slightest things.

I am so happy that you are already settled in NZ kirian. Yet, here I am still waiting for my 7 month to take the OSCEs. I am looking for further options than what I have now especially that UoN are failing more and more candidates for most absurd reasons and NZ is one of that option.

The only online source for it is the NILE access that Northampton will give you after you booked the exam.

No need to take the Ielts and cbt but the paperworks should be done again. Like the references, school and declaration of health.

Ohh dear.. I cant imagine the stress you are in right now especially that you are pregnant. They are absolutely pedantic in that university. Im from the philippines. I was a nurse there for 3 years. I think they are all thinking about the money. Yes, on the 3rd take it will be back to square one again with you having to resubmit all the documents that they require.

i am so sorry to hear that ashley. I know how you feel. Its really awful. Im even in the verge of being kicked out in this country because of the OSCE. What didn't you? Is it okay for you to share??

hi ashley, i found it the next day after I took the exam. Its just awful and exhausting that exam was. I got a friend who miraculously passed that exam even when she just assumed that the medication box was the medication she was looking for. I hope that they do away with it.

Yes. I forgot to write down the GCS but it wasnt the reason why I failed the exam. It was because I underdosed the patient.

i dont think they do an overall mark. If you fail in one station they automatically fail you in APIE or skills. I really feel bad about the exam, I too was not successful on my second attempt. Its just frustrating having to fly all the way here just to be tested in an extremely pressured situation like the OSCE. I just feel bad about it. I am in the verge of being kicked out in this country because of the examination. Had so many sleepless nights and even waking up from an OSCE nightmare. I don't even know what to do anymore. Unfortunately I was not able to pass my second sitting because I underdosed my patient. I feel so devastated, the nerves really got the best of me. I kept on crying the whole day yesterday. I am in the verge of getting kicked out of UK because of an exam which just focused on one area. Im not sure if I am still here for the third sitting.
