I have no idea but I believe the ROTC commissions were separate. I think the selection for ROTC/NCP/HPSP was all at one board. For DA I was told 5 slots for AD, targeting ER/ICU RNs.

I tried applying for navy 2 years in a row. They dont have very many slots right now.. I know for med-surg nurses they had something like 5 slots and wanted 5 years experience... its dismal. Contact a Navy Healthcare Recruiter to find out numbers and if your goal is serving, check out the other branches too. At the end of the day, we are all on the same team! I applied for the Army and am anxiously awaiting news!

Congrats! Active Duty or Reserves? What is your specialty?

I applied for 66H (Medical-Surgical) for Reserves and know (per my recruiter) that my packet made the November board which she said met Nov 17-20. She said those days were specific to nurse corps. She also said it would be a few weeks to get official word for selection...Im hoping to know this coming week or maybe the week after? Im sure things might take a while with Thanksgiving but she said definitely before christmas. I am not sure of Active duty, but I think she said only a few slots were open. From what she said, she ballparked about 45 slots (for 66h) for my region (have no idea how big this region is), and about 100-120 slots for the country. Not official numbers and those could have changed. I know I was the only applicant from my state for 66H reserves. Furthermore, my recruiter said I probably wouldnt start drilling until February... it takes a while to get orders. Best of luck and I will post when I hear news! :)
