  1. I am graduating in a couple weeks as an RN (associates)!!! Im so excited! I am currently precepting in OB and I LOVE it! This is where I want to be, eventually becoming an Womens Health NP or a Certified nurse midwife. So heres my Dilemma... My family (parents and siblings live in Boise), while my family (mychildren and husband) live in a very small town (with nothing around) two hours away. I hate where I live! There is nothing to do with my small children (one small playground), no indoor places, and Winter is especially awful because its so bitter cold out. Our family goals is to move to Boise and be close to my family, we love it there. Boise does not offer specialty units, like OB, to new grads or associates RNs, because they are critical II hospitals. Where I live now, they do. They are currently hiring new grads, and since I am precepting here and they like me, I think I have a really good chance of getting it. Like I said, this is the position I want. I just got offered a job in BOISE for the rehabilitation unit. It in Boise, but its not my passion. What do I do? Accept to job, and do it for a coule of years and then start apllying for OB positions. Or deny the job, and take the OB position (which is still not a guarantee I'll even get it), hate where we live, and then hope Boise will take me a couple years from now with OB experience? PLEASE HELP!!!!
  2. I am graduating with my ASN in December! Im a mother of two and married to a Peter Pan. Right now he is a school teacher, that doesn't get paid very well. We've been married for 4 years and every year he has a different job. We need something stable and something that pays well, and unfortunately my husbands hasnt been a reliable source. So what do I do to further my education? I am already 20 grand in debt for student loans and all i have to show for it is my ASN. What are other things I can achieve for besides being an RN and how do I go about achieving these routes. I want something that will pay the bills, even without my husbands contribution, and something I can do and still be available as an attentive loving mom, able to go to their sporting events and such when they grow older. Do I get my Bachelors? What can I do with my Bachleors? Do I bridge and get my Masters? What can I do with a Masters? Doctorates? What can I do with a Doctorates? Other options?
