  1. Hello, I have a question. What is the hourly rate in Southern California for LVNs? I've heard different SNFs paying $32, some $35, and near $40 per hour. I've been an LVN since 2016. I applied for an SNF position for $35 per hour and $38.50 per hour for NOC pay differential. I've been in this SNF facility since late 2021. I got my first evaluation 4 months later with an increase of 50 cents, and I haven't had another evaluation since then, and my rate of $35.50 remains the same. So, my question is, should a facility have yearly increases? Or at least yearly evaluations? I feel like I'm missing something here, especially when I find out a newly grad received a $35/hr starting rate in this facility. What's your take on this?

  3. This shouldn't even be a topic here in allnurses. This is non nursing related. This is more of unhealthy gossip
  4. Yes, nurses are stupid. Why do you think they are always feel like a victims? because originally they think they are smart when they are not. I'm not saying that PA or MD are smart. Just stating the hidden and easily denied fun facts that nurses don't like admitting.
  5. Hello, I refused an assignment when I find out 1:15 ratio is unsafe to provide cna care. I told the Nurse in charge that I cannot accept 15 patients because I feel that it is unsafe and that my shoulder is on pain because of previous groups 1:11. So I refused to take the assignment and Never sign my signature below in the assignment sheet. This facility tend to always understaff. I clock out. Is this consider as abandonment? I need your advice please. Thank you!

  9. Hello, I got my Nclex-pn exam results 3 1/2 weeks ago and I am not satisfied with the results. I understand that a re-taking process can take up to 45 days waiting period before you can re-apply for the examination. I've submitted my applications 2 weeks later from which the date i recieved my results. i've also included a check of $150 processing fees. The check has been cashed out. Since I mailed out my application too soon, does the board rejects an application that is being mailed before 45 days but cashed out my non-refundable fees? or do they start processing my application after 45 days? Please I need your advice... Thank you..
