    ICU director already knows if HRIS doing their job. Personally, with 17 years of experience, I say keep the ICU position and get some experience. ER positions will come and go. Once you have the experience of caring for critical patients the safer and more confident you will be in your nursing care.

    My husband went Grand Canyon University for his BSN and now his ACNP. I completed my MSN in leadership this past May. The programs make going back to school less of a chore. Definitely go back to school once you have your nursing license. Good Luck to you.

    I agree with Nurse Beth. Very good advice. My response to Roy Hanson is given with confusion. At what point did it warent "only given 3 month" become the answer? She didn't say she hated her job...she is saying help me! I need guidance! I am hopeful in my thoughts that you are not management. I do pray that if you are, it is over a department of one.
