I had about two weeks to study for the TEAS. I bought the Mcgraw hill 5 practice tests, and I really liked it! The questions in the book are very similar to the actual test, the questions on the test are just more difficult. I haven't had a science class in a couple years so I was really worried about the science portion. I didn't do well on the practice tests so I watched a lot of you tube videos. Just look up teas science and there are videos by mometrix that I found to be really helpful. The book helped me kind of refresh on my other skills and I ended up doing pretty well on the test. I got an 83 overall. Math-100 English-90 Reading-93 Science-58:( My school requires a 60 overall so I'm happy with my results. Good luck with your test, I hope you do well! :)

I am a senior in college majoring in accounting. I graduate this December so my work gave me a job as an accountant which came with a big pay increase. I like the money but I HATE accounting. I decided to go back to school for nursing and I'm so excited about it!! I put off telling my supervisor for awhile but I finally had to tell her a few weeks ago because I was going to have to go back to part time and I thought she needed to know. She was very understanding and supportive and I'm glad I didn't have to keep it a secret because I was starting to feel guilty about it. Good luck with everything :)

I just took the TEAS last Friday. I haven't had any science pre-reqs as I am an accounting major switching to nursing in the spring. I was nervous to take the test because I only had three weeks to prepare for it. All I did was watch some YouTube videos for the science portion and I also purchased the McGraw Hill.5 practice tests and I actually worked through 4 of the 5 practice tests. I will say that the McGraw hill book really helped me in the English, math, and reading areas. It helped me freshen up on subjects that I had not seen in awhile and the format of the questions were very similar to the real test (the real test questions were just a little bit harder). As for the science portion, the questions are so random there is really no way to study for them unless you've just had the classes already and know the material. I think the practice tests were really helpful though for the other parts!! [emoji4] I got an 82.7% overall Math - 100% Reading - 93.7% English - 90% Science - 58.7%[emoji17] School requires a 60% overall so I'm very happy with my first time results. Hey guys, So I'm just curious to see if there is anybody out there like me. I will graduate in December with a degree in Accounting, but right now I am trying to get into the nursing program at my school to start next spring. I just took the TEAS V (and got an 82.7% yay!) and I'm enrolled in an 8 week anatomy course that begins next week. I have never liked accounting, I just picked it because I thought it would be easy and I would be able to graduate quickly. Recently however, I guess because graduation was approaching, I realized that I didn't want to do this for the rest of my life. I always wanted to be a nurse but I thought the classes would be too hard and I wouldn't be able to do it. Now that I've almost completed one degree I realize that I can do anything I set my mind to and I'm not quite as nervous. Has anyone gone back to nursing school after obtaining one degree? Was it hard to keep a job while in the program? Are you glad you made the choice to pursue a nursing degree?
