Hey everyone! I've had the idea for a long time that I wanted to write a book about nursing school. I've started my project and am beginning to collect stories and submissions from people all around the country (and the world!) about their most horrific/funny/terrifying/interesting/humbling/memorable moment in nursing school. I would love to get some submissions from the fellow nursing community on this site. Stories should vary from a few paragraphs to a few pages depending on how in depth you want to share. I am not able to pay for submissions or any royalties that the book might generate, but this might be a fun way to have a small story or moment from your life published. Anonymity will be respected unless you would like your name published with your story. I will have a brief agreement form for you to sign basically saying that you are sharing your story with me on an at will basis. I am so excited to embark on this project and would really love to hear from my fellow nurses out there! You can be a current student, or could have graduated 30 years ago. Hello, I am interested in becoming a medical volunteer abroad and would like to participate in some sort of surgical or other type of mission. Most of the research I have conducted involves organizations that require you to pay a significant amount of money and for room and board while you are volunteering. I have heard of other organizations that are free or charge a flat fee of $500...something of that nature. I am wondering if anyone knows what they are? Like many, I can't afford to shell out 5k and take two weeks off of work. Thanks so much! My specialty is PACU/OR
