I have taken the NCLEX twice and unfortunately failed both times. It is a little discouraging but I am determine to be an RN and really need some help. I used Kaplan for its techniques and did a lot of testing. During the first two weeks of studying I did content review. I used reviews made by previous classmates who graduated the year before me who took Kaplan and used Saunders to make their study guide. On top of those I added additional notes on my own that I was taught through Kaplan. After doing my content review, I gradually progressed in the quantity of questions, adding more each time. I started with 75 a day for about 3 weeks, then 100 for a week, four days of 150 questions. I took my time remediating the questions I got right or wrong and took notes. I tend to have a difficult time with being able to take tests overall and am not a good test taker. But I know that I could be if i put in the hard work. I also feel that I may have not studied the content well enough, being that I am unsure of what exactly should cover mainly. I just wanted to know if anyone can help me. Does anyone have suggestions on how they studied in terms of techniques, studying schedule, as well as recommending what resources should I use to review content and practice tests? I heard combining Hurst for Content and Kaplan for testing is good. But I've used the Kaplan question trainer tests twice already. Please help!!!
